I'm telling you guys, we don't want anything to do with Chris Kaman. He has a terrible learning disabilty, he struggles to focus on the floor, and he is inconsistent as all hell. He's a good player on a terrible team, Boozer has been a great player and a very good team.

There is a huge difference, Boozer>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kaman.

try to speed up the development of fess/koufos this year by playing them more minutes, let okur & collins walk this summer....and keep everyone else. you'll be fine.

and idk why MK's talking about millsap getting 8-10 million a year. jason maxiell just got 4 years, 20 million. millsap's a little better and has more size, but put up nearly identicaly numbers last season...and they're both simply energy bench PF's. if his agent says "we want this ungodly amount of money" utah should be able to simply counter with jason maxiell being market value...and then give millsap a little more for inflation and being a little better player. shouldn't be more than the MLE.

I actually agree with corona there. If Millsap wants 8-10 million, then I wish him well on another NBA team.

Yeah, Jazz can't afford him at that price. But then I don't think he will get that. Nobody wants to invest that much into a guy hoping he can play 82 games a year as an undersized PF with an undeveloped offensive game.

The Maxiell price will probably be just about right for Millsap, I definitely wouldn't go very far over the MLE.

I'm hoping you're right, Bat. But ever since Kandi Man got that huge payday a few years back, it seems like teams have lost their collective minds on signings.

Millsap is top 5 in the league, as far as off-the-bench energy guys. But he just isn't going to be a productive starter, in my opinion.

I love Millsap, don't get me wrong, he brings great things to the Jazz. However a player like himself is hardly unique. He won't get a huge pay day due to the fact that there are quite a few players who bring similar things to the floor.

+1, great point. Millsap is a good player, but he isn't irreplaceable.

Assuming we can resign millsap to a reasonable contract, I think we might have to let Memo walk. Willams is our star player and Boozer is a great complement to him. AK has been doing great things off the bench this year. And Koufos is giving us that shot blocking presence we need. I seem Memo as the most expendable unless he wants to take a major paycut.

I think you all are making the assumption that Memo opts out. I for one dont think Memo opts out. I dont think he makes more then what he is already making, the only real question is can he get a 4 yr deal 2 summers from now. Personally I think with how tight money will be this summer and the kind of yrs they're on pass to have I dont see memo or Korver opting out.

I hope (and I have a feeling about it too) Okur will not opt out. And I think, no matter what, Jazz front office will do whatever it takes to keep Boozer.

I'm convinced Boozer won't be delivering the wins we need to take the next step, but it would be foolish not to realizae that he's a very important part of our team. That said, I really don't see him as a max player, but that's what he will demand almost for sure (however I hope he remember which was the team that take the gamble and made him a millionaire...)

I love Millsap and Harpring, I like Almond, I really like Collins as a last resort cheap center, ... but If that's the price to keep our PG roation, Brewer, Miles, Korver, Kirilenko, Boozer, Okur, Koufos and Fesenko (I truly believe that a little change of attitude and well guided training and coaching can make Fesenko a real Star ) then I'll accept it.

And of course I realize it still will be darn hard to keep these 11 and sign at least a couple more players...
