Remember before he got his contract he was actually a good player who tried hard every night? Those were the days...

That's why guaranteed contracts in the NBA are a bad thing. Blount is Vince Carter minus the wasted talent...

Guaranteed contracts are a fantastic thing. It prevents holdouts. And it prevents euro-leagues from grabbing all the best players.

^^It also allows guys to quit on their teams and the teams can do nothing unless they trade or buy them out. I love how in the NFL if you're a locker room cancer or quitting or just not performing up to snuff, they can cut you and save the $$ to spend on someone else who'll help.

Vince Carter and Alonzo Mourning are the poster boys for why guaranteed contracts have ruined the NBA...

Even when Blount/Blunt/Assholeface was playing well, he still had hands made of carbonite. What a joke.

It does, but that damages the players reputation and earning ability. The number of players who do that and ever get another big payday are small enough that it hasn't been a big problem. Not nearly as bad as holdouts were getting to be before.

While I agree with you on most counts, Vince Carter and Alonzo Mourning are two glaring exceptions...Shaq, too, last season in Miami...once he got to Phoenix, the magical healing powers of the air there completely healed him, apparently (same with Zo's kidney when he went from NJ to Tor to Miami...). Vince flat-out quit...I guess he had a "heart" disorder, if you know what I mean!

The giraffe would get to the FT line more and catch more passes. Every time Stonehands dropped a pass, I always thought of the Price is Right "loser" music (with the Tuba, which I'd provide a link to if Youtube was loading properly)

(blatantly plugs sig; if you want priceless "Blunt" moments, check it out)

Hahaha, that is great. Everything in that site in your sig is true. Does anyone still have the animooted gif of blount trying to grab the ball and fumbling it like 3 times? I think it ends with a team mate just taking the ball from him and dunking it. I also remember sportsguy linking to a boxscore of what he called a "historic" quadruple zero where stonehands played 30+ minutes and scored zero points, grabbed zero rebounds, had zero assists, and blocked zero shots. I love to see that one again! I can't find it, though.

That teammate was none other than KG, who passed it to Blount, who bobbled it for like 5 seconds before KG just ripped it away and dunked it. I have it saved somewhere but I'm not sure where...
