Better than average defender, tenacious attacker, improved his shooting every season of his career, creates havoc for the defense. He can get a little too locked in at times and he has his off nights but all in all he's (IMO) the best PG in the league not currently considered to be 1st tier (nash, paul, dwill, parker). I'd take him over kidd, calderon, baron, rondo, miller, bibby - pretty much anyone you'd care to mention. Enjoy him - don't take him for granted like we did. Hold on to him and you can build quite a team.

This made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thanks a lot. Hopefully our management realizes this as well and we keep him around for a while. I think he can be a pretty consistent threat for us and I can't wait to see what he can do with another shooter running the floor alongside him in Mike Dunleavy. Most importantly, hopefully he stays healthy.

Close to a Triple-Double 3 straight games - this guy is a monster.

He's been great, but no one has ever really doubted his talent. His ability to stay healthy is the real problem with TJ. I hope to everything sacred and holy in life that he stays healthy for us, because this is the most fun Pacers team to watch in quite some time.

Lots of people have doubted his talent, but he is straight money. We've lasted way too long without a real point guard (Mark Jackson), and could never be in a good position until we found one.

Point guard is a lot like QB, it's the most important person on the floor even if they are not your top scorer. JO was our point guard the last few years, and we traded him for TJ and I couldn't be happier.

I'd do TJ for JO straight up without Hibbert, or Rasho, and I really like them.

One thing to remember... TJ has been to the playoffs every year he's played in the NBA... if he stays healthy for the remainder of his contracts the Pacers got a great deal for O'Neal

Bucks fan here and something else to remember - every time Ford has joined a new team that team has improved and/or exceeded expectations. It happened twice in Milwaukee (the second time after he missed the entire year with his spinal injury) and in Toronto. It would not be a surprise at all to see it happen in Indiana this season. In fact, astute observers are expecting it to occur should he stay healthy.

He was grossly underappreciated in Milwaukee and the highly suspect trade that sent him to Toronto not only turned the Bucks into a lesser team but it also left a gaping hole at PG that only now with the emerging Ramon Sessions appears to have been filled.
Nothing will not break me.

I've been very happy with the trade so far. It's nice to have a good PG, and Ford is exactly that and probably more.
