No more Jim Peterson commentating?

Post#1 » by theGreatRC » Tue Nov 18, 2008 10:31 pm

He was just hired as the Minnesota Lynx assistant Coach. I don't know if he would have time to commentate anymore, which is sad because I really like his insight.

They should should have waited till Wittman was available...or maybe they made the right choice.

You actually enjoy Jim Pete? I don't mind his homer attitude on the broadcasts but some of his lines are incredibly lame. Bring back Trent Tucker!!!

Does this mean he's done? I mean, the Lynx aren't even practicing right now or anything. i like Pete too but a lot of people seem to hate him.

I liked him a lot, I think he's gonna be a really good coach. And I didn't really find him to be a homer announcer, in fact I've read more than one game thread on other teams' boards where they complimented the non-homer angle of our announcers when getting our broadcast team on the league pass.

I think he is more homer when we are good. When we suck he knows it and there isn't much he can say. He does talk about calls we get away with alot though.

As long as sleepy doesn't take his spot, I'm fine

LOL that would be horrible. That sleepy guy would be missing half the plays cause he's too worn out.

He mentioned it tonight that he would stay as a Wolves commentator.
