I heart Roger Mason!!!
Seriously, this is the type of player we thought we were getting a few years ago when we signed Finley. Only Roger can create his own shot, get into the lane occasionally, and play defense and rebound a little. Now of course he's not going to keep hitting at the clip he's at right now (what is it, like 60, 70% FGM right now???), but so far he just fits like a glove. Once Manu is back, our backcourt is going to be SICK. Now, about that frontcourt...

Re: I heart Roger Mason!!!
damn where would we be without roger money mason?
the goal now is to get obie and kurt healthy and in shape, have ian bring energy and focus and get manu back and we have a deep team.
a few concerns, bowen can still do it defensively but to me it seems like he'll be ineffective in everything else, including scoring, rebounding, etc. we may have to limit bowens minutes to keep him sharp. finley lost 20 pounds but his shot still sucks, hopefully its a shooting thing and he has to stroke his way out of it. udoka can help, he was probably the 4th best player last night, and its contract season for him, i hope he plays even better than he did yesterday. finally geogre hill, i can by now we all realize why we drafted him. definitely capable of running the point and his defense looks damn good. hopefully he can continue to be our energy/defensive minded/slashing pg.

I don't know what the situation in Washington was, but with respect to play on the court they should not have gotten rid of him
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Re: I heart Roger Mason!!!
I think they wanted to free up minutes for Nick Young.
I'm so happy to be wrong about Mason, i really wasn't expecting much from him.
But if he can keep shooting at that sort of clip and be good for 15 ppg this season well i think it'd be a midly successful offseason.

Re: I heart Roger Mason!!!
Mason was a nice early signing, I picked him up at the start of the season in fantasy leagues and he's been gold.
Any word on whether McDyess has interest? Think he'd slot nicely next to Timmy
We all know you'll probably miss the playoffs, win the #1 again and with everyone back next year march to another title (past Phoenix AGAIN)

I've always been a fan of Mason, but there were some that underestimated his contribution to the Wizards. I think it's a bigger loss than most thought. The guy's a solid player, and you guys scored on that pickup.

Very nice steal in getting Mason...if he keeps it up over the long haul, hope you guys can re-sign him when the time comes.

I liked him when he was a Raptor and wish we had him now. Great pickup and I hope he continues to succeed.

I was all for Roger Mason signing in SA before it even happened. I can't say enough good things about what this guy is doing for this team. When Tony and Manu come back we're going to be incredibly difficult to stop.

Re: I heart Roger Mason!!!
What I like about him is that he plays within his own abilities. He isn't like Finely that tries and fails to do things we just can't do. He knows his limitations and put himself in a position to succeed. I was so pissed off at Finley that he shot that 3 in OT when Mason flyed in for rebound. We were lucky that Mason once more got Finely miss.

even in the game against Miami he hit some late shots that just gave us the sniff of an amazing comeback, didn't pan out, but hey hey gave us some hope!

Mason is probably my favorite ex Wizard. The guy was nothing but clutch and solid for us. Really wish we kept him over DeBrick Stevenson.
