Drew Rosenhaus, agent for Arizona Cardinals running back Edgerrin James, confirmed an Internet report that his client has asked to be released, but the request was rejected.
"We spoke with [general manager] Rod Graves because Edgerrin still believes he is a 1,000-yard back and he is healthy and he is still capable of being a 1,000-yard back for a team," Rosenhaus said. "He is not playing now, and there are teams that are banged up at the running back position that he could help. We didn't get the answer we were hoping for."
Rosenhaus said the request to be released was made last week and that he will continue to speak with Cardinals management. James has lost his starting job to rookie Tim Hightower. Over the past three games, James has had only three carries for 5 yards.
"Edgerrin isn't trying to cause any problems," Rosenhaus said. "He has had a Hall of Fame career and he has enjoyed his stay in Arizona. But it's apparent that he's probably not going to be back with the Cardinals next season. If that's the case, he can move and help another team and get a start now."

i hope he does get out of Arizona ever since hes goten there he has barley any yards its crazy. I think Edge should go to a team where he could start or at least were he has some compotition in a decent division. ( Not the NFC or AFC west bc those divisions suck)
Trust The Process

If he wants to be traded or released, fine, but bring this up during the playoffs, and not during the season when the team is a playoff contender.
EJ has had a HOF career? Hmmm...I don't think so Rosenhaus.

Leaving Indy and going to Arizona was career suicide for the guy. I hope someone else picks him if indeed he does get released.

I'd like to see him back in Indy to finish up his career with the Colts, as Addai's backup.

Maybe he's extrapolating all the HoF love Warner's receiving and applying it to another three-year superstar.

Re: Edgerrin James Requested Trade or to be Released

Considering he's an RB, I'd say Edge has more of a shot than Warner...
