First Huge Test of Larry Brown

Post#1 » by fluffernutter » Thu Nov 20, 2008 5:54 pm

As far as I am concerned, this is his first really big test.

If we are not completely fleeced in a trade, that's a positive.

If he can use his connections to land McDyess, that's a big positive.

If we even get reasonably close value for what we trade away... thats' a big positive.

However, I expect something rather gruesome.

Stil... I'm an optimist. It's gonna work out. It will be great.

Typically when we make deals, they don't have much of a positive impact. The only deals we've ever pulled off that really worked out for us are the Okafor and J-Rich ones which we used draft picks for. Which by the way I'm not totaly cool with because we're just going to waste any 1-14 pick we get anyway, might as well not put the burden of picking someone and trade it to someone who knows what to do with it for a known commodity.

MJ still signs off on all things basketball so if we flub on anything, it all still goes on him as far as I am concerned.
