So, after reading your post in the other thread, I'm not really sure, but who're you thinking we get at SG? Is this like an offseason/FA/draft wish? A trade? Just picking up some random FA out there now? Just curious...

I agree that they don't really have the shooting part of the SHOOTING guard position covered, but I just don't really see that getting much better until the offseason. They don't have many assets with enough value to ship off for a quality player (at least that they're willing to trade). I think the best hope right now is that Green continues to improve his perimeter skills and shooting ability and at least temporarily fill that void.

Has anyone else notice that Durant is one of the worst ball-handlers in the league? He does fine in the open floor and going straight to the basket, but if he's trying to cross a guy, it's about a coin-flip whether or not it's going to hit his feet or knees and go out of bounds...

I think they need a person with D-league experience (or who has been cut) who leads, to give them some perspective.

Having said that, who do you think they could trade for that would make sense?

Mine is an attempt to restore order. I know they are not going to win a title, but they can play hard and "find themselves"

Green will get at least 24-32 minutes with the rotation I see.
In truth to me Green is like Marvin Willams on the Hawks.

Durant's handles need work. He's a billionaires man 's Rashard Lewis.

I'd liketo see Durant and Green at the Forward spots with a more offensively inclined SG.

IMO, the following should be your starting 5. The defense and heart of a Westbrook + Weaver back court (coupled with Sene in the paint) would really do wonders for you and they both can create for Durant and Wilcox(who absolutely needs a drive and dump G). You guys would have an extreemly entertaining team.

I like the Green/Williams and Durant/Lewis comparisons. Obviously there are some big differences, but role wise, I think they're very similar.

The big thing with Marvin Williams, is the SF type guy that he's starting with is Josh Smith... who is like leading the league in blocks. Either Durant or Green really need to bulk up (I see it being more realistic for Green) in order to pull off running both forwards. Having a beast of a center on defense behind them would help quite a bit too... who knows where we can find a center though?? hehe

As far as what is out there right now, I think earlier one of the Raptors fans said something about Kapono. Don't know if he's a great long-term fit, but he'd provide some serious shooting ability. I feel like with Westbrook and Durant, the best possible fit at shooting guard would be a Ray Allen type (has he ever been on this team before??)

The problem is your bigs are low skill on creating their own shots but have a ton of athletisism they need to be able to feed off the driving players and focus on put backs and dump offs. The funny thing is you have the players who have the ability to get to the hole with ease and are very creative

Im starting to like a trade for Bargs a shooting big man even with the soft 7 footer tag .we already have 3 defensive minded center prospects in swift,sene and petro.he can create his own shots and he value is pretty low right now maybe it shoul be explored.

76ers don't do that trade. They're still a lock to make the playoffs and with a young team, moving a piece could disrupt their chemistry.

Sene is gonna be a beast at C he needs more floor time.

Weaver should be the player you put on the best opposing wing. His opposing PER of 0.2 tells you just how good he is.

Wilcox at PF is a no brainer as is Westbrooke at PG

Durant is a SF not a SG.

Then go and grab cougs coach Tony Bennett for your young team and have him bring some excellent defensive ball with him. I almost guarantee you that starting 5 line up would beat Portland.
