Does PPP mean prime time player? I like Okafor (I live in NC so bobcats are like my 2nd team), but he doesn't fit into our system in anyway. Him and Brook both can't play the 4 consistently on offense. It would just be bad. I don't deny the guys talent, but he's not a prime time player on our team. I'd rather take my chances with Brooksy.

Poison Pill Player. He was just extended over the summer.

...........and I'm dumb

I was actually just messing around with Trade Checker and it isn't that hard.

VC/Boone/Sean Williams for Okafor/Felton/Ammo/May works

VC/Boone for Okafot/Felton/Nazr works

VC/Boone for Okafor/Felton/Carrol works

I went to the Bobcats board and my god i read horrible trade ideas. It was worse then 2 years ago when everyone here thought we should pick up every player who got waived.

gerald wallace is nice, one of those gritty players i was talking about in the chris kaman thread. he can flat out score and be aggressive on the offensive end. im not an expert and havent watched him extensively so i dont know much about his defense which I think is something this team desperately needs help with. im liking a trade along the lines of boone, simmons and a pick for wallace. speaking of wallace what about brining in sheed? theres some defensive help that can make this team very good very fast.

I'm not giving up a single 1st round pick for Gerald Wallace, and Sheed is old as hell.

They'd both make the team better but deviate from the rebuilding plan...

why can't we pull a boston heist and trade all of our young guys + multiple draft picks (saving VC, Harris, and Brook - which is on par w/Pierce,rondo & perkins imo) and go after both Marion and Wallace.. then fill the roster out w/some veteran FA's. Pipedream, i know, but lets get it

We could, but neither of those guys, at least those literal 2 together will get you to the promise land.

why not? i understand theyre not on the level of a KG & ray allen, but i would say our team is at a better starting point than boston was (harris > rondo, brook = perkins, but w/more upside). putting marion and wallace at the 3 & 4 (interchangeable) would cause matchup problems and give us an athletic duo up front along w/brook's size. and our bench would still be decent, some of our vets like simmons/hayes/dooling/najera/swift (whoever we would keep) would make up the starting point to a decent bench. lets face it, lebron is looking more and more likely to end up w/the knicks, forget about clearing cap space. what happens if we get shut out on a big time free agent in 2010? we'd be even further from the top then we are now if our young guys dont develop exponentially
