OT: Identical Twins Are No Longer Hot...

So the Wife and I had our 20 week scan today to find out the sex of
our child. I was running a couple of minutes late and walked into the
room to see my wife crying. I looked at the screen and saw what
seemed to be two beings.

I was asked the question, "What do you see?". I looked at the screen
paused and said, "****".

Ok, so great, we are having Twins. Now we are hoping for non
identical, maybe one boy one girl? Yeah, that would be sweet.

Twin A. A girl.

10 minutes later Twin B. A girl.

20 minutes later. No membrane to separate the fetus'. "Ummmmmmm what
does that mean doc?" Well people, it means they are identical.

Hmmmmmmm, ok, so this is going exactly how it was planned. ROFL.

So at the end of today, what started as a normal 20 week scan to see
our baby and find out the sex turned out to see our babies and find
out the sex's. Much to the surprise of the Sonegrapher (or whatever
they are called). Apparently it is very odd to not have known
already, but that is how the cookie crumbles.

So with that, I am off to buy me a couple of double barrel shot guns.
That's right. Not one, but two. LOL.

TWINS BASIL.............TWINS.

But are they two boys or two girls?

Anyway look at the grightside. With two boys in 20 years you might sit in the MSG to see when ur sons are going to be picked in an NBA draft. Which is kida a best case scenario.

If they are girls...not sure you can call it best case scenario but you might become the father of the next Olsen twins...whom are still quite hot...:p

So twin girls. Congrats Never Fear. My wife went in for the 20 week ultrasound and they couldn't tell so we went in last week at about 21 weeks to a private imaging place to find out what we are having. and we are having a girl. I'm glad we're not having twins that would be a lot of work, but I'm sure it will be great for you. I wouldn't mind having twins just not the first pregnancy.

@whambam - my wife and i discussed twins and we both agreed that as your first child (children) it would be better because its all youll know

whereas if you have one first, then you can imagine twice the work for the second 2

Nah man they are definitely two girls and they are definitely identical.

Yeah my wife and I always spoke about having 3 but decided we couldn't afford it and now we have no choice with the fact that we already have Oliver (my 15 month old). Congrats yourself on your girl man.

Thanks to everyone else for the congratulations, they are very appreciated...............and Never Fear 33 will still be in the States early next year. :wink:

he he ... that's awesome man. Multiple births aren't as rare as they once were so I'm sure you'll find plenty of ppl in your situation who can empathise!

It's not really that big a deal. You'll just have to build the basement cellar twice as big now!

All jokes mate. Will prolly start trying for kids next year so if you and SDU can write a manual on "How to raise a Sun" that would be appreciated.

Congrats man. My wife and I just had our 2nd boy last week. Our other boy is 3 1/2 and we went and played some bball tonight. Did it yesterday too. Ahh, the joys of having boys. J/K

How crazy it sounds, I want twins, always have. My oldest sisters are twins, I have dated about 4 girls who were twins. Actually, dated the sisters man. It was fun. My HS had so many twins too. Something in the water I guess.

Good luck, and be prepared for even less sleep. I cant get any and am writing my thesis right now

Not being a smarty but most articles I've read suggest it's due to ppl getting "help" when they can't fall pregnant.

Yeah me about it. A friend of mine already has twins and there is also another couple within our group of friends that are expecting twins. So should be able to find plenty of helpful info.

Hot to raise a Sun we can do............how to raise them properly is another thing. :wink:

I have one boy already so it is all good, he already loves to play with balls...........errrrrr I mean big balls.........D'oh...........Basketballs. :lol:

See about the whole female twins thing...............people like you are the reason why I am scared. :lol:

In regards to the sleep thing, hopefully they are like my 15 month old boy and love to sleep when it is time to sleep. Fingers crossed hey? But at the end of the day, the wife can deal with it, she will be the one with the time off of work. :lol:

Definitely no help here. One freaking shot............you think I wasn't pissed at that, considering we had decided to start trying, figuring that it will take a couple of months as it did with Oliver.

Speaking about Twins...I always dreamed about having one. Being in two different classes in scholl I could've sent him to do my maths exams.
