This is unfortunately very true.
The thing is you cant get anywhere close to a talent like Brooke Lopez when youre a playoff team.

Really impressed with Lopez's touch, he's got some skill, great pick up... we got a solid team this year... it's not far fetched for us to get into the playoffs, and especially if VC and Devine show up every night. When was the last time the nets had such a decent frontline?

Now that I havecome back down to Earth a little, I have to agree again.

I still stand by my statement...if there's any coach in the league that could make Frank look bad (a step up from horrible), it's Sam Mitchell.

Dude,The guy had 16 points in the 1st half.He was the reason why it wasn't a 20 point game at the break. He was a lttle passive in the first Q tough if that is what you mean.

How did Frank almost blow the game?

By missing free throws? By making Chris Bosh and Anthony Parker hit ridiculous three-pointers?

Why can't Frank ever get the credit he deserves...?

Being down by 18 was hard. Not coming up with an answer to defend the 3 in the 4th hurt. That one play where Calderon just drove right by Carter for the easy layup to get the game back up to 7 with 50 seconds left to go in regulation. Forgetting to tell the team to foul after Carter cut the game to 5 and we had to foul Caldeon (He did yell at Simmons after). Substitution patterns.

Why can't Frank ever get the credit he deserves...?

Hey, I'm sticking with my story...Frank wasn't the worse head coach on the floor yesterday.

Haha, anyone notice Hassan Adams on their bench?

I think Devin threw up when he went back into the locker room. He was just a million times better when he came out. He had some very Kidd-esque moves off the ball and did Kidd's signature go in front of the defender on the break (Bargnani) and take the easy And-1 layup along with the catch everyone off guard for an easy breakaway layup. That and he scored like 16 points in the 4th and half of the OT points.

Watching 9 AM Encore on YES. Spanarkel and Eagle are hilarious. Ian (I-yan) Anderson and vinaigrette.

yeh Devin manned up, after coming out of the game...upset stomache and still drops 30...Bird and Spanarkel definitely crack me up...

you know Bargs is in the process of a huge turn around...as I see so far, I have to do give credit to Raptor fans in this thread (from what I read so far...) very classy guys, its appreciated...

and now, as some of you have mentioned, in parentheses...we havent seen many alley-oops this year...still trying to figure this out, especially w/ Sean on the floor...

BIG ROUND OF APPLAUDS for Mr. Bobby Simmons...as much as Vince has to get that down in a reverse manner (someone said after the game he hasnt reversed dunked in years...!?!?), but if Bobby doesnt get that pass exactly right where he put it, Vince doesnt have a chance to throw it down...and I dont care what you say, I EXPECT Vince's timing to be there...Bobby just might have to throw a couple more of these during games...

Three seconds left......harris to Carter.......Vince for the win........

Pretty close huh lol, now if I could only predict the winning lottery numbers!

But hey what can I say that has not been said already. Great game this is why I keep watching year after year and will continue to watch. For a season I thought was going to be a real dud I am more than pleasently suprised.

Vince said it to Michelle Beadle in the post game interview - saying he probably hadn't dunked backwards in 6 or 7 years. Link below:

but Vince has a bad memory (guess that is one attribute of being clutch, forget the shots you take make or miss too hah):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcrCGAew ... re=related (vs. Raptors 2007 playoffs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgdFWJtY8uY (this one he even double pumped it - 2006 IIRC)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37BweloGGzw

and heck he's had a clutch reverse dunk before too (this one to tie the game vs Bobcats last year):
