Let's not get too cocky you guys, that looks good on paper so if they mesh, the could turn out to be a playoff team. They might even knock off a lot of teams chasing us & give us a better cushion in the West

Clippers just keep finding more ways to embarrass themselves. Wasn't their owner one of the cheapest around the league until last season and why would you add Z-Bo to a team that already has Camby and Kaman upfront without any depth in the back court?

Because he's a back to the basket scoring 4, that's why. That's what Dunleavy wanted after the loss of EB.

sterling hasn't been cheap for quite some time. starting with his long term commitments to elton brand and corey maggette a few yrs back, then trying to get kobe and ray allen for huge contracts and ultimately overpaying for mobley, giving tim thomas the full mle, signing kaman to a long rich deal all followed up this season by signing baron davis, trading for marcus camby and absorbing his entire deal, and now zbo. as far as the clippers go, cheap doesn't fit them, hasn't for like 4-5 yrs.

Re: how scary can the clippers be?
Wasn't that expected of Kaman or are they going to bench him now? They'd have been much better going for help at SG rather than get another immobile big to scamper Baron Davis further.

Well.. thats kinda the point I was getting to. He's been dormant for so many years and now the pressure of doing well has got to him so much that he's starting to do Isiah Thomas like business with all those big contracts.
They've failed in drafting good players and retaining their quality. Assembling disgruntled players from other teams will not compensate for that imo.

Really? Somehow, I don't associate good with career 41% shooter, 32% from 3, and 69% FT shooting from your PG. And he's certainly not a standout defender.
At least Jason Kidd knows his limitations and doesn't chuck shots up from all over the court.
Baron Davis plays dumb on the basketball court, at the position where you can least afford a dumb player.

Name another point guard outside of CP3 and deron in the league that's capable of consistently putting up 20 points 8 assists and 4 rebounds a game. Very few guys in the league have the capabilities that B diddy has, give him some time to adjust to a new system and he should be fine.
There are plenty of chuckers in this league that are considered elite players, so no, his low fg% doesn't disqualify him from being an elite player.
Finally, like i mentioned before, you seemed to forget that this dumb player led an 8 seeded team over a 67 win maverick team.

Re: how scary can the clippers be?
i think its preposterous that the clips would even trade kaman
damn their have their beggar man's version of the bynum/gasol/odom thing going now..., being able to play three above average big men 48 minutes a game
i honestly dont know why theyre interested in gerald wallace for kaman, camby isnt a long term solution to give away a good player that plays a position that is in short supply for one that is oversupply
plus, al thornton is the next maggette
all they need to do is develop eric gordon...

Re: how scary can the clippers be?
Clips moving Kaman for Richardson? I understand that they have a log jam at 4 or 5, Kaman has a big contract, and SG is an area of need, but I'd try to move Camby. He's overrated as a defender because he basically has no man to man value in center defense.
i suppose this is partially fueled by Baron, as well, with his old ties to Jason.
Still, no they are at best a middling team who surprises people here and there and not scary.
