trade proposals

Post#1 » by suns12345 » Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:50 am

Hey guys,

i was just wondering, because of all the trade proposals that are being thrown up but will unfortunately never happen, wat player do u want most (im not sure if this has been asked before) excluding Lebron etc. wat i mean is a player that is realistic to trade for with diaw or tucker etc.

So which player would be the best realistic player we could have here??????

Realistically...I think we need to look at CHA with Felton + GWallace

MEM with Lowry + Jaric

MIL with Sessions + Villa

NJ - Sean Williams

GS - Marcus Williams

MIN - Mike Miller

There are some combination of players...I don't see Kerr making any big moves though. Possibly a guy like Jaric may be waived around the deadline

Like Tastic said, we're not going to make any trades any time soon. Maybe around trade deadline, but we're set with this roster for a while. Besides, trading now would be even worse for our team. If players from the Suns who went through the training camp are having trouble with Porter's system, new players coming in would make it worst.

I'd like Miller or Marcus Williams here.

felton and wallace would be insane. i agree that kerr porbably is unlikely to make any moves but if he did make this move barbs + diaw does work.

Tell you what SUCKS...is Diaw's deal. He's realistically never going to live up to that deal here in PHX. The guy oozes talent and everyone can see it, but he's better suited to a team needing some low post scoring like CHI, CHA, IND or NJ...so there are plenty of options, but as SDU etc have said waaaaay before, he has the most upside on the Suns, and is arguably on par with Nash in terms of raw skill. To be honest I've liked what he's brought to the team this year, same old story with him though is that he's always capable of so much more.

The only guy that has impressed me much so far this season is Boris Diaw but coach doesn't play him enough. I'd hate to trade him, I'm always a fan of his talent, but if we are to trade him, we better get a PF/C back. Becasue we're basically rotating Amare/Shaq/Boris at our frontcourt. Lopez/Amundson aren't rotation guys, they had only played an average of 7 mpg so far this season.

That is the best thing about Boris.... Being one on the short tradable list, his 9mill per is the only thing that is prevents Kerr'veball from bending over and poopshootin another stinker deal focused on this cancerous 'win now' philosophy. Our front orfice reeks of desparation.... and the other experienced GM can smelll that blood in the water.

Miller would be a perfect fit for this team. The guy could just nail open J's all day. Hes soft on the D side, but I would take him. However, it would take Diaw’s contract to get him or a combination of Barbs and some other players. I just don’t think they need or want Diaw or Barbs. They have undersize SG’s and two PF’s that are better than him.

But I really do not think Kerr will make a trade. He will make a run at a waived player or two, but I don't see anyone really wanting to come here. It’s a wait and see game.

I would take a risk on Jaric or marbary tho.

Word on Boris. He's a better/more physical defender than Amare, better passer, better teammate, better at making others better, better post player...I mean, if the dude was as aggressive as Amare and refined his shot/learned how to finish like Amare, he'd be better than Amare period.

I could've absolutely seen LB traded at some point, now I'm not so sure. His value is probably way down and we haven't seen Tucker at all. LB would really be our only trade piece at this point.

I think a lot of teams would like to have Diaw on their team despite his large contract and relatively low per dollar production. He's extremely talents and could play all 5 positions if needed. I would've said yes to a Diaw trade last season, but this season he seemed to have found that aggressiveness. The only thing holding him back is the lack of playing time and probably his unreliable J.

I wouldn't want to trade Diaw right now. LB is a different story. We really haven't seen much improvement in his game, defensively or offensively. I know he's only played those handful of games, but it just seems like he'll stay a one-dimensional player the rest of his career. I think LB still has plenty of value, it really depends on the type of system the team uses. Faster teams would get the most out of LB obviously. I do see us trading LB sometime this season. Hate to see him leave since he's one of my favorite players but it's for the best. If traded, I'd like to see him end up with the D'Antoni's at NY.

The sad thing is that our problem right now isn't our players, but the coach. We have a championship-caliber team with great depth, we're just missing a proper backup point, but other than that, we have an excellent team. Porter just hasn't been able to utilize the teams strengths yet.

I would like to see the team first adjust with Porter prolly by end of December before thinking about trade ideas involving Suns player. But just based on my own projection Barbosa, Nash and Bell are the guys who should go assuming we stand and die with Kerr's vision and Porter's system. Diaw's contract sucks big time but he is exactly the guy that Suns need on halfcourt system.

Suns-Kings

Nash / Hill
Bell / Salmons
Barnes / Hill / Diaw
Stoudamire / Diaw
Shaq / Lopez

Suns-Bucks

Sessions / Jones
Redd / Barnes / Tucker
Barnes / Hill / Alexander
Stoudamire / Diaw
Shaq / Lopez

how about:
Nash/Diaw for Carter/Blake/Frye
Carter/Swift for Lafrentz/Outlaw/Bayless
Lafrentz/Outlaw/Blake/Frye/Bayless for Nash/Diaw/Swift

Return to Phoenix Suns
