It amazes me that you make that sly remark (which I did a good job of ignoring until dfn poked his head around) and act like I'm the one in the wrong. And there is no irony in my posts unless there is some figment of your imagination still running wild. Like your imagination making you think I was "insulting you without provocation."

The insult was in your initial response to me (one example of irony).

Another example: you jump on me for missing the Stackhouse "virtual expiring" and yet completely miss a ton of my comments pre- and post-Kidd trade.

Another example: you claim I ignore anyone's opinion but mine and then you ignore (again) a bunch of the statements I made pre- and post-Kidd trade.

Another example: I've always said the FO screwed up with Harris, yet you again claim that I was on FO's side all along. More irony given your recent comments.


Now, if I misinterpreted your initial post to me, I apologize. But it sure seems that you could've chosen a more tactful response if you truly didn't want to insult me. My response wasn't intended to be an insult; it was simply an acknowledgement that I had you on ignore and may have missed the information you put in those posts. Of course, I could've been more tactful as well.

I'm sorry for the mis-understandig...that was my more tactful way. I actually spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to say "it all makes sense now" without you taking it in a bad way. Initially, I was about to write it all makes sense now on why you and HMFFL thinking we were over-valuing Stack when we we seeing him as nothing more than an expiring. Those threads where I read those comments I did not repond to. On this thread, I wanted to say "it all makes sense now" but I tought you may have taken it even worse than "wow" (believe it or not, I was trying not to go down this road and that's why I ignored your response).

As far as the FO, I wan't ignoring that you wanted them to go all Devin or all Dirk/Kidd when I thought Devin was the much bettter fit with Dirk than Kidd would have been (I still think thhat is true). I did not forget that and I still stand by that. The front office did what you said they should, but did not follow up with a Howard trade to better fit players who fit with the 35 yo Kidd, which is what I think would be a mistake since Kidd is almost done and any player we get would not be nearly as effective post-Kidd. I did not forget any of that. I just think your view and my view is completely and uterly different.

Sometimes I wish I can pm a user so that I can say something like this without people coming on exacerbating the situation.

The frustrating thing about the Kidd-Harris debate is that my position really wasn't different from yours: I wanted management to keep Harris and build around him as a second option. The difference we have, I think, is that I believed there was no way management was going to do that. So, I figured we should trade him and get some value from a team that would use him as a #2. Unfortuantely, trading away two draft picks in the deal made the entire thing look fairly awful.

In short, my problem all along was with the management and their mishandling of players and contracts. That's what's incredibly frustrating, and putting me on the same as the FO makes it doubly so.

Anyway, all is well. My apologies. Though now I have a real problem with DFN. Instigator.

Its not any of your guys fault, we're all frustrated over that horrendous trade, it just had no upside whatsoever. Donnie and Cuban truley set this team back with that trade. This is as discouraging as it gets, especially for me. i have no girl, no real group of friends, my job sucks, all I had was the Mavs, now I cant even stand watching them or hearing about how good Harris is doing in NJ, it just sucks.

Interesting article on NBA.com regarding Stack.

Toronto, Atlanta and Philadelphia appear to be possible and logical fits for Stackhouse. Each is a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference with a need for a battle-tested backup shooting guard/small forward who can hit a 3.

Who could that be? I see no one realistic on any of those teams worth giving up Stack for.

Looking at their rosters, I really don't mind too many of the players except the following who have too many years for two little production: Evans, Kapono, and Humphries. The Hawks either have to be a much bigger trade (Terry back to Atl + Stack for Bibby + Evans?) or a complete steal on our part. I don't see any trade with the Hawks.

Wow! I was 9 lb 8 oz. That and my foot size were the 1st two things my mom always talked about when I was a kid. I hated it. Anyways, good luck with your future basketball player.
