I think you guys are missing the point, like most GMs in the NBA. It isn't height, it's wingspan and reach. Big Al and Powe have the same standing reach - 9' 2". Al has a good set of knees and that's the difference.

Well Leon is a FAR superior defensive player than Al is. Not even close.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

If Allen Iverson were also 7 feet tall? Then Leon would look like a stiff. Fact is, for his height his skill level, quickness and athleticism are not that great. That is why his game is more like a Center than a small forward like truly gifted 6-9 players like Lebron, Carmelo, Durant, T-Mac, etc.

The reality is that his game is more suited for being 7 feet tall than 6-9. That is why he cannot be the big man of our future when KG retires. He is a special player for being able to get it done at such a small height. But he is not the second coming of Wes Unseld..... nor is he the second coming of Dave Cowens for that matter. Maybe if he hadn't have torn up his knee he could have been ... who knows.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Actually the HOF is very difficult for even very good players to make. Even if Leon was averaging 20/10 for the rest of his career he might not make it. Even Dwight Howard is not a lock. You have to do something 'special' with your career. PP and RA are borderline guys - despite some awesome statistics they have put up. They would need another world championship at least to possibly get them in and maybe 2 more to be locks.

KG is the most likely guy to make the hall. I thought Len Bias would be the next HOF guy when the C's drafted him. HOF guys are so rare they usually don't come out of nowhere. They tend to be guys who were well known in college and HS.

How good was KC Jones in his career? He's in the Hall, but he was never one of the elite players. His team won, so that's why he's in. A lot of it comes down to winning. After last year, both Pierce and Allen will make it in since they won a Championship.

True. But he wasn't just a 1 trick pony, he won 2 NCAA titles, an Olympic Gold medal, 8 NBA championships as a player, 2 championships as a head coach, 2 others as assistant coach (12 total NBA championship rings). Although he was voted in as a player, he's one of those individuals whose overall contibution to basketball was probably the key, moreso than just his NBA playing days.

I honestly did not read ALL 4 pages... but the thing that would concern me if Powe was 7' would be his knees. If he had knee problems, as a 7' in college... they'd probably be even worse in the NBA... I think Powe's knees compared to a 7' guys knees are different because Powe has less weight on them.

KG is proving to be the be3st big man in the league. He doesn't even have to score to have a positive outcome on the game. he is DA MAN!!
