Beasley and Lopez are different types of players. I really consider Beasley a Marion type player: guy who is really a 3, but comfortable and athletic enough to play the 4. I don't consider Beasley a "big" in the NBA, so I consider Lopez probably the best "big" so far in this draft. I don't like comparing a guy like Beasley who really is a SF in my eyes to a guy who is a true Center.

With that said, I dislike Kaman a lot for some reason. I can see the similarities, but I don't like hearing Lopez and Kaman in the same sentence. But you could make a good argument for him. I still think he's closer to Tim Duncan. Not saying he's gonna be a top 25 player ever like Tim, but I feel his play is closer to Tim's than Chris's. But people who are not Nets fans would castrate you for even putting Tim and Brook in the same sentence. Since Brook has been in the starting rotation, he's been unreal though.

You can argue that Lopez has played better than Beasley so far, but in terms of potential Beasley still blows Brook out of the water...

To me they have the same potential, only difference is Beasley came in with more hype...

I don't know, kinda early to compare. I'd wait until after the all-star break

Return to Brooklyn Nets
