Impressions of Garcia

Post#1 » by Bringbackoakley » Sat Nov 29, 2008 5:34 pm

Hey all,
I catched the second half of the game on league pass but I didn't see Sisco play.
How did he look? Saw his stat line, it was pretty good, have to be happy with the two blocks. He must have been pretty active on defense.

He was somewhat affective in his minutes, all things considered. He's definitely going to come back a little slowly just because his injury has kept him from being able to stay in shape, but yes, he did look quite active defensively last night.

Offensively, he mostly faded into the background, which is kind of to be expected this early.

Thanks,

Watched most of the last game and he looked ok.
I read that he will be playing the 1, 2 and 3 spot off the bench, anyone know if that is true?
That would be a nice fantasy bonus if he gained PG eligibility. Did he play any time at the point last year?

I remember reading an article on 82games.com (I can not find the article now sorry) that stated that Sisco would be starting over Salmons, then he got injured. I don't see this happening anytime soon though as Salmons has been playing very effectively.
Anyone see Sisco overtaking the starting spot this season?

EDIT:
Here is the link I was talking about:

No, that article was mostly just crap in that regard. Salmons as a starter is better than Cisco starting or coming off the bench.

He will definitely play some spot minutes at PG, but I don't see him playing enough to gain PG eligibility in most leagues.

Hey Mitch,

I saw Garcia come down on his leg pretty hard last night and he was walking around cringing in apparent pain, he went to the bench shortly after and did not return.

Have you read anything about him or am I just crazy?

They've been monitoring his minutes pretty closely, and I think he went over the time he was supposed to play. That, along with the play you talked about probably both played into him sitting for the rest of the game. But it probably wasn't an aggravation or anything.

Hey again

You know is Cisco is starting against Denver?

The only info I can find just says that Salmons is DTD. One says its a groin problem, the other says a calf problem, both coming from the ESPN fantasy website. Is there something going on behind the scenes or is he just sore?

I would not mind if i saw him hurt worse than he expected, still have ill feelings towards him after he screwed my beloved Raps the other summer, but that is a vent for another day.

I don't think I'll know any better than you will.
