Trade Idea???

Post#1 » by kam_soluusar » Sat Nov 29, 2008 9:41 pm

A.I. for T-mac?

Now let me first say, that I don't think it would be a great idea. I propose this on a theoretical basis, for a number of reasons.

1) A.I. is healthy. And he has been that way for pretty much his entire career. Whereas we are all aware of T-Mac's health issues.

2) We are trading for a player, that can still dribble penetrate, can attack the basket, get to the foul line, and when he want's to be, is an excellent passer as well (So we have another option at point for all you Rafer haters!

3) A.I. comes back West, and that will annoy the Nugget's!!!!

Now I don't know how salaries match up, and if they don't, who we would throw in to make it work. I am not a massive A.I. fan, and I personally think that it would be bad for team chemistry. (I would not even propose this idea if T-Mac was at 100% health.) However, there it is.

Opinions?

So with all the problems you listed with T-Mac, why would Detroit do this deal?

Hey hey, as I said, I am posing a theoretical opinion. I thought that T-Mac's contract was up in 2010, and detroit already have Hamilton at SG, and traded Billups because they wanted to start a younger player at PG. By taking T-Mac they get a fantastic player that can Start at either SG or SF and they can tweak their rotation for more depth off the bench, and I also stated that I wasn't sure how contracts matched up. If I could get "What I want" as 2fast4u succinctly put it, It would be for a 100% healthy team, with Francis playing like he did before he left.

Footnote: Francis coming off the bench at SG T-Mac at starting SG.

No,no,no.
AI has shown he cannot work in a system where he has to move the ball,he penetrates to score, not pass out to open teammates. Bad fit.

Besides,Tracy is pretty much untradeable right now. No one knows how much he can play this yr,and whether he would re-sign w/that team in 2 yrs.
