A very important game for both team. Almost a must win for Carolina, and a likely must win for Green Bay. Green Bay must win in order to stay in contention with Chicago and Minnesota. Carolina has a tied record with Tampa Bay, but lost the head to head earlier. Still have them at home later this yr. But Atlanta is only 1 game back and New Orleans only 2. The Saints take on the Bucs, so we have to pull for the Saints today.
Playing in Green Bay in late November, early December is no pleasure. It will be cold, and likely flurrying. We have to be able to run on them, and Jake has to make the accurate passes in the 10-20 yard range. And for the love of God, our defense has to be able to play better than last week! Atlanta beat us because our Defense collapsed. If they collapse again, our season could be slipping away. A road victory today puts us right back in the driver's seat. Our most difficult games remaining would then be @ the Giants and @ New Orleans. We would have a great chance of winning the NFC South with a victory today.
EDIT: typo in title

Up 21-10 at the Half! So far, so good.
One thing concerns me. On the Pre-game show and again at the Half, Howie mentioned how rumblings were going on in Carolina that Jake may have a "dead arm". He looked great the 1st half of the season with speed of his ball and accuracy, but the last few games he was off. I know he did well the 2nd half of the Atlanta game, but there is something not quite right. Myself, I am hopeful that it is just conditioning as he missed the entire yr last year and he may be kinda hitting the wall. And he can always get a 2nd wind if that occurs. But if it is more fundamental with his physical well being, we have to prepare next yr. If it is a "dead arm" issue, since we have no 1st rounder, I would hope they push hard for Matt Cassel who will be on the FA market after this season..

Well, they came out in the 3rd and took it to us. They took a 28-21 lead, but we just tied it up. 11 minutes to play to see whose season is advancing strong, and whose starts to dwindle away.

GB takes a 3 pt lead w/ 1:578. We score a TD w/ 1:33 left after a great KO return and a bomb to the 1 to Steve Smith. Now, can our Defense stop them? We lead 35 - 31.

Beason w/ the INT!!!! That should do it! Unless a major goof, we are now 9-3 and still tied w/ Tampa who beat the Saints.

I edited the title, so you know. First time having to edit someone's post on this placid board of all placid boards. I also did away with that annoying spam topic.
At about 11:30 this morning, Chris Berman announced that the Packers were favoured. I start laughing uncontrollably, then called my dad so I could tell him to put $50 on the Panthers. Naturally, he'd picked the Packers. Well, then...
I was watching WAS/NYG (I just had to pick the Redskins
) and couldn't get this game. I did keep up with the score though. The 18 straight points was a nuisance, but I loved seeing the Panthers' five 1-yard touchdown rushes. That kind of goalline offence will be nice to have in the playoffs.
I see a win next week. At home, pissed off at the Bucs... oh yeah!
The Panthers should hopefully reclaim their rightful #2 in the NFC. To think that the ESPN crew had so little faith today...

Thanks for the fix! I saw it myself just before you fixed it. Typing too fast.
I'm also disappointed that everyone at Fox and ESPN didn't give the Panthers a chance. But there is a great deal of Aaron Rogers love w/ those guys, so it's expected. I'd love to ask them how that foot in their mouth tastes this morning.

Just deleted your double-post. You're making me work here.
I have a lot of Aaron Rodgers love myself, and I thought the Packers would win their division this year. Didn't happen though. Oh, I also picked the Bears last night. 10-5 on the week so far but sheesh, talk about a couple games to get wrong.
