Need a replacment for Brandon Wright.

Post#1 » by OzSonic » Sun Nov 30, 2008 10:13 pm

It is to frustrating holding onto him. His PT is far to inconsitant, if he did get some time I wouldn't want to waive him at all! The waiver wire is pretty bare so it is hard to find a decent replacment.

15 Team Roto League
Roster Positions: PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, Util, BN, BN, BN
Stat Categories: FG%, FT%, 3PTM, 3PT%, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO, PF

I've made up a list of 10 potentials in order of preference.

Boris Diaw
Maurice Evans
Grant Hill
Amir Johnson
Jason Kapono
Tony Battie
C.J. Miles
Tim Thomas
Hakim Warrick
Rodney Stuckey

Azubuike will clear in a few days and may make a play at him.

If there are any other players you can think of that would be deep feel free to let me know.

If you are lacking for Blocks, then go for Amir. But if you are looking for points, then definitely go for Tim THomas.

Tim Thomas and Evans are now gone. Not really after blocks I have Hawes, Nene and Amare so they fill that stat up OK. I'm pretty balanced all around so most players would fit although I'm reluctant to get a player that may hurt my FG% (I have Baron Davis already) so Tim Thomas was not a real good fit anyway.

3pt% is a little down which is why Kapono is an option.

Yeah, now I am really hesitant to waive him after this but it wouldn't surprise me a few DNP or 5 -10 minute games not to far away.

Kapono shoots a great percentage, but he hardly gets any attempts. So I doubt he'd help much. Last night 16 minutes, 0 attempts beyond the arc. Mitchell's offense is a mess - all iso's Kapono can't create his own shot. Avg's 1.6 attempts per game - 5th on the Raptors!

Turns out that I didn't need to waive him. I got offered Prybilla for him last night and took the deal. Now I will probably have to go for a smaller player through trade or waivers using Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.

Thanks for the advice CrookedJ. The deeper you look into Kapono's stats the more you realise that it is a mirage.
