what are you talking about Lakeshow?
Texas went from 5 to 1 after beating #1. 4 spot jump
T Tech went from 7 to 2 after beating #1 Texas. 5 spot jump
Okla went from 5 to 3 after beating #2 T Tech. 2 spot jump
Alabama went from 8 to 2 after beating #3 Georgia. 6 spot jump
Florida went from 8 to 6 after beating #6 Georgia. 2 spot jump
Again, unlike the teams mentioned above, USC never got the chance to pkay a highly ranked opponent to move up multiple spots. For example, before USC beat Ohio State, they were #1 but barely ahead of #2. After that beatdown, USC was WAAAAY ahead of the competition as #1. If USC was #4 instead of 1 at the time, they would have clearly jumpep to #1 or at least #2.
Fair or not, the system is consistently bad or consistently good. Your crap that USC is getting cheated is pointless.
You keep claiming that USC would destroy anyone in front of them. Based on what? FL has been more dominat than SC and I would never say they would beat anyone in front of them.
What has USC done to claim themselves as the nation's best. They lost a game to an unranked opponent, had a couple of ugly wins vs Arizona and another team and has not faced a legit opponent other than Ohio State. Nothing after losing to the Beavers.
Look, I think USC is a tremendous team. Are they the best? YOU DON'T KNOW. That's the whole issue with this stupid system. Teams don't play the same schedule and it is not decided on the field. They could be the best, but you can't come here crying that they are. They have chances every year ranked at #1 early on the season and manage to screw it up by losing to some team they should have beaten. You don't know if they are the best.
Point being, based on this flawed system, Big 12 champion and SEC champion with 1 loss deserve to be ahead of USC based on schedule alone. Doesn't mean they are better. I for one, would love a playoffs system and put my Gators against your Trojans and may the best win. It would be one hell of a game.
