As Tony Dungy has noted (http://colts.com/sub.cfmpage=article7&news_id=4732), the AFC South seems to be tightening up. Who do you think is the premier candidate to overthrow us from our four year reign at the top in the upcoming year or two?
I would probably go with the Titans just because that Vince Young guy just wins ball games. Of course Jags are always a threat but i think the Titans have just been getting better and better season after season. They have a good coach and great up and coming players. Just wanna see what the rest of the guys on this forum think is the biggest afc threat next season.

Well, I think the big difference is it's no longer the Colts way up on top, the Jags around .500, and then the Titans and Texans way down in the standings. This past year, the Titans and Jags were around .500, and the Texans were up a little bit, and you might see in the future a division where everyone beats up on everyone else.
I don't think there's necessarily any one team that is ready to "take over" the division from the Colts, but I think it's going to be harder on a week by week basis to hold onto the division.

It"ll be ineresting to see how the Texans will do with a new QB, they obviously still have concerns with their line but I do expect them to improve somewhat with Shaub at the pivot.
The Jags are always gonna hover around .500 but right now there's somewhat of a QB controversy there right now with Garrard and Leftwich and neither of them are close to elite, and are in both in the lower half amongst starters. Their D is always solid and will improve even more as I fully expect them to draft an impact DE or DB in the first round.(Nelson,Carriker,Revis, Anderson will all probably be available at their pick)
The Titans have the most potential to challenge us I think, but they still have their flaws.
Any way you slice we are the best team in the division, we have the least question marks among all the teams and we should have no trouble putting the South away again next season.

It's pretty close right now between the Jags and the Titans. The Jags have a tough physical defense that doesn't make many mistakes led by a great DT tandem in Stroud and Henderson and former Colt castoff Mike Peterson. On offense, their passing game is mediocre at best, but they have Maurice Jones-Drew, whose running style kills us, along with a solid veteran in Fred Taylor. The Titans have Vince Young who always seems to make the plays needed to get his team the win. They are a young team that has some talented vets in Bulluck, Vanden Bosch, and Mawae, but they have a lot of inexperience at a lot of key positions.
I think I'll wait to pass judgement until the end of the draft. If the Titans can land an offensive playmaker like Teddy Ginn Jr. or Meachem, it will make their offense a lot more potent. Meanwhile, the Jags could pick up a defensive line playmaker like a Carriker. Still, I think we're still the best of the AFC South.
