That's where you *hope* some decent coaching comes into it. I must admit this is an area where D'Antoni was poor (he would just hope that Marion would stop their player). You would hope a coach who was brought in due to his ability to teach defense would have something else up his sleeve. He clearly doesn't.

No half-court traps or anything. The only decent thing he did was put Nash on Simmons making their focus go away from their back-court. Once they realised that was happening they went straight back to their back-court and took on our best defenders and one easily.

Our D is seriously worse then it was last season.

We were pretty atrocious defensively at the end of last year after the trade. Shawn was our only guy that could keep guards somewhat in check. I agree Porter really hasn't mixed anything up or at least if he's tried it's not showing up in games. But no genius scheme is going to do anything when our roster doesn't have one single decent perimeter defender. Not one.

Can we sign a petition to the Suns FO to get their players to watch and practice the video better defense? At least get Barbs and Amare to watch it.

^ Looks like Clippers are getting the raw end of the deal there.

I heard we conceded 34 points off 21 turnovers - that my friends will kill us everytime.

Not the first time it's happened either; it seems to be occurring at an alarming frequency.

You can't give an NBA team 34 points and still expect to win.

Nor can we give up 43 in a quarter, let alone the 4th.

Edit: Didn't realize Harris dropped a career-high in points on us. Guess that just adds to the list.

Who blamed him?

Be honest - he's quick enough to at least bother Harris but he just CAN'T

We let Devin Harris score 47 points.

And some of you thought D'Antoni was the problem?

why does everyone always has a career game vs PHX. Out D still stinks, I don't see any improvement. This is looking bad really quick!
