I agree with eastsidecrossover, Kerr won't fire Porter, unless it gets to the point of absolute desperation. Stepping Gentry up as interim coach would be interesting, since he's the last man standing from the old system/ways, I'd love to see if he could turn it around quick smart - but hopefully we don't get to that position, and Porter gets them going soon.

Don't you think it's a bit early to be saying Kerr has ruined this team?

Is there anything to show you that he hasn't?

I guess not - but it still feels too early to be going that far with that statement. Maybe it's just my belief that they can get back to a level of quality ball that is at the least, similar to when Mike was around. Judging by the rest of the comments here, it seems most people don't think that will happen, and I can't blame them. But I haven't given up on Kerr yet - if anyone, it'll be Porter that I give up on first.

Porter is not ready to handle a team that was a hip-check away from winning a championship. He's turned this team to a rebuilding team instead of a ligitimate 'ship contender. We need it a proven coach to hundle this group of players not an unproven almost scared to run this team type-of-coach. Perhaps Van Gundy or Flip Saunders would have been a better choice. I'm in desperation mode watching this team right now.
