Kupchak has done a tremendous job in some trying circumstances at times.

Granted, other Laker front office people have also had considerable input in both the good and bad moves. One that will always be curious to me is if we had hung on to Caron Butler and traded Odom in the Kwame deal.

The Lakers were looking for a Scottie Pippen type of player to pair with Kobe and I'm still surprised that they (I believe it was mainly Phil Jackson) felt Odom was more like that as opposed to Butler.

Never the less, Mitch has been great and I seem to recall a poster whose site name is that of an incredibly attractive movie star having been sticking up for him here for a long time.

In the end if looks as if Mitch did learn for Jerry West.
