Fine he's helping the young guys win a few games...but if the team can get value for VC at the trade deadline they need to make the deal - and no, "value" does not mean VC for Kobe - value could mean a less skilled player with a much better contract!!

you waited for Carter's first bad game to post your nonsense, sad

Not true - I haven't been a fan since he was in Dean Smith's doghouse at UNC.

The Nets will never win a championship with VC. Sorry to be hatin' on the player you love but the guy has been the same person/player since college - I find it hard to believe that so many of you can't see this???????

Uh, probably coz he isn't?

Vince at UNC was nothing but an athletic freak who can only score one way: dunk.

Vince at NJ is no longer an athletic freak but is one of the most versatile SGs in the game. His contract is also not that bad. He's still very productive this year, and he'll be productive next year also. His third year will be an expiring $17M deal, at which point it wouldn't be difficult to unload him.

New Jersey isn't going to unload Carter without getting a good prospect in return, not like these crap deals that have been rumored with just Wally going to New Jersey. Rod Thorn doesn't give away his star players.

He didn't give away Kenyon Martin (even though it was widely known the team had no interest in keeping him) without getting 3 picks from Denver.

He didn't give away Kidd without geting Harris + picks.

He didn't give away Jefferson without getting Yi.

If he didn't do it with those three guys, he's not going to do it with Carter.

And oh yeah, no one is claiming that Carter's value is anywhere near Kobe's.

Geez. Ballboys.

to be fair hisairness it's VC's 2nd bad game (he was awful vs Cavs & bad 1/2 half of Hawks game but bounced back on that one) but yeah it's kinda funny...maybe just a 'troll' account but whatever, VC deserves the criticism today.

Vince was rough this game...just couldn't get it going. I thought it didn't help that he didn't touch the ball for prolonged periods of time during the game but definitely wasn't his night.

I did like seeing the Nets start the game throwing the ball into the post for Lopez. I actually like that for every game. Lopez is best when he does two hard dribbles & makes his offensive move...when he starts pounding the ball he loses sight of the entry pass defender who can strip the ball or his move just get's to methodical for defenses to react to.

The Forwards were awful today. Simmons missed wide-open shots over & over & Yi was barely noticeable all game long.

Nice to see CDR back in Uni..he has a natural jerky movement to his game (cross between Cassell & Pierce..not talentwise but aesthetics).

Give Washington credit - they did hit alot of contested shots and also hit the wide open one's that they should have.

Nets 3rd quarter woes continue...and really there is no rhyme or reason why....don't get it.

It's just one of those days for a young team...gotta shake it off & pretend they are on the road next game.

Carter was awful tonight but Harris was awful too in my opinion.Yeah I know he got 18 on 14 shots but this guy is getting kind of cocky. He needs to remember that he is a point guard.2 assists?Really?

Hmmm... we enjoyed a big win against the Suns, so I think we should accept a huge loss to the Wizards as well, that's why we call the Nets a young team, we can beat any team when we are hot, and lose to any team when we are not, this game is paintful to watch, but I believe all the players will learn something from it and do better in the future.

Tough sequence there! Looks like that all came on one possession.

Great to see the hustle though... 3 offensive boards on 1 trip (no basket though!)

Well, this is what you get for putting VC in his TOR uniform in a game thread.

:D

Horrible loss, adjustments need to be made for the next game...time to move on.

We just got put back in our place. These games will happen as a young team we'll bounce back. I would rather see Harris with 20 and 10 then 45 and 3. Right now our team needs to keep everyone envolved if we are gonna win it can't be the Harris and VC show every night.

Does this mean that Gmoney has to take over until the next loss?
