Amare to Portland - Farzi's attempt

Post#1 » by farzi » Wed Dec 3, 2008 4:21 am

This hinges on the fact that Amare does indeed want out (who knows if its just blown out of proportion or not) and is willing to sign an extension [Paul Allen will off you a **** ton Amare]).

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=
Portland Sends
Aldridge
Fernandez
Batum
09 1st
11 1st
Raef LaFrentz

Blake / Surgio
Roy / Bayless
Webster / Outlaw
Amare / Frye
Oden / Przybilla

Why for Portland: Obvious. They get Amare and go into win now mode while still having the youth / depth to compete for years to come. Amare is better than Aldridge in his prime. Also frees up playing time for Bayless who a lot of fans are dying to see.

Phoenix Sends
Amare
Tucker

Nash / Barbosa
Fernandez / Bell
Hill / Batum
Aldridge / Diaw
Shaq / Lopez

Phoenix saves money, stays competetive, gets younger, and gets deeper. Aldridge is obviously a step down from Amare, but he still complements Shaq. Fernandez improves the SG spot, and Batum, who is being groomed to be the SF of the present / future in Portland can take over for Hill when he's done, and adds some defense off the bench.

Where do I sign?

I feel bad about this, so can I at least give you $100 out of my wallet?

Well, if you guys are that into it, Could I remove the 09 or 2011 first and still get away with it?

What if it were changed to http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=

Amare and Barbosa

for

Aldridge, Rudy, LaFrentz, Outlaw, Surgio (any picks NEEDED as a balancing act)

Nash / Surgio
Rudy / Bell
Hill / Outlaw
Aldridge / Diaw
Shaq / Lopez

Portland board doesn't wanna give up Batum for pretty much anything atm.

Blake / Barbosa / Bayless
Roy / Barbosa / Bayless
Batum / Webster
Amare / Frye
Oden / Joel

????

If you added a first to that latter trade I'd hug you.

Aldridge and Rudy. I would seriously have to think about this. I love Amare but if he won't resign here then this has to be a YES.

Aldridge, Rudy, and a pick would be enough for me to consider.

I want either Batum or Outlaw...those two are the type of athletes with 3 range that we need...

I, for one, HATE the idea of trading Amar'e. That said, I have to admit that this is by far the best trade scenerio involving STAT that I have seen. Any chance of getting Bayless involved in this some how?

Man are you serious?

If you're going to trade Amare in his prime you at least have to get fair value, that is NOT a fair deal. Why do you think POR fans are offering more than just LMA straight up?

I think Aldridge fits better with Shaq. We get the two picks we sold to Portland back and can throw Bell's old ass to the bench. We become MUCH deeper with this trade. Why can't realgmer's be the one's who do the trade's?

While I think Amare is good, I think he's a prima-donna. I was really gunning for the Amare for KG trade. I think we win the championship with KG. Our defense, even under D'antoni would have have been very good with Bell Hill Marion and Garnett. Even with Nash's liabilities, there's enough lateral quickness and length there to overcome it. Unfortunately that didn't happen.

Because if us RealGMers did all the trades our roster would look like this...

Nash/Barbosa/Singletary (Drag-itch to D-league)
Bell/Rudy/Barbosa
Barnes/Hill/Diaw
Aldridge/Diaw
Shaq/Rolo

And that is far too sexy of a lineup for Kerr and Sarver's likings, they like to make fans/teams suffer.
