Suns/Bobcats

Post#1 » by The Magic Man » Tue Dec 2, 2008 5:35 pm

Im a Bobcat fan and I was intersted in a trade with the Suns.Say that you know Amare will not resign with the team in 2010 and he wanted to be traded, why not trade him to a Eastern Conference team that he could be the FEATURE player on the team that he wants to be.The Bobcats are not going anywhere anytime soon so why not make Amare suffer his words and let him feel what its like to play for a losing team and be the feature player.

Suns Trade: Stoudemire,Barbosa,Tucker
Bobcats Trade: Oakfor,Wallace.Felton,1st lottery pick

Suns Lineup
pg:Nash,Felton,Singletary,Dragic
sg:Bell,Hill
sf:Wallace,Barnes
pf:Oakfor,Diaw,Amundson
c:Oneal,Lopez

Bobcats Lineup
pg:Augustine,Barbosa,Brown
sg:Richardson,Caroll,Tucker
sf:Morrison,Dudley
pf:Stoudemire,May,Jones
c:Ajinca,Mohammed

Suns get tremendously better on defense and they get 2 young players who both can be allstars in thier career.Nash would make both of the better offensively especially Oakfor. You also get another staring pg to back up Nash. Also you get a 1st pick that would most likely be a lottery pick because the Bobcats will not make the playoffs with that roster.

So would you guys do this deal with the Bobcats.

i dont know what it is but when i first read the deal i didnt even have a reaction and now after a few mins i like the trade ALOT but something just sounds off and idk what it is haha but yeah it would be a great back up for nash along with a upgrade in okafor as far as defense is concerned but i dont see the big time potential in okafor as i do in amare (if he just shuts up and plays hard everynight!)

good thought though bro!

props

This would be a nice trade. It would help Phoenix out defensively for sure.

If the salaries did work, I think it is good. :D

wow i love this trade!
I hate to trade Amare but i think Okafor would help us tremendously with his D and rebounding and with Nash he would get his 15pts per game for sure. Shaq would be the main scoring option.
And boy i am a big time G. Wallace fan he hustles, plays D, can score, can dunk and rebound. He is so versatile similar like Marion only younger and worse in rebounding than Marion.
Felton would be an upgrade over Barbosa and Barbosa sucks in this system and Felton would be a true backup PG and could play some SG alongside Nash. I like Felton.
The 1st rd pick would be nice but it would be protected. I would do this deal without the pick, too!
We probably gonna lose Amare anyway in 2010 so do this deal we still have some cap for the FAs with the roster in 2010.

the salaries dont match up but if it did it would be a good trade for both teams. In 2010 we will lose shaq and nash's contract.thats 30 mill right there to spend on a free agent.replace amare with bosh

We'll give you dragic if you throw in a second and matt carrol?

That would mean the deal is:

Stoudemire, Barbosa, Tucker, Dragic

for

Okafor, Wallace, Carrol, Felton, 2010 First, 2009 Second

Then we trade Nash for young talent to portland (fernandez / frye / webster?) and we have

Nash/Felton/Singletary
Bell/Carroll/Hill
Wallce/Barnes/Hill
Okafor/Amundson/Lopez
Shaq/Lopez/Amundson

Yeah, can't say I like an Okafor/O'Neal frontcourt...especially with Okafor's contract.

The paint would be clogged more than more than Dick Cheney's aorta.
