what trade value? A 23-24 yr old SG who is an expiring contract. I mean yes if he keeps it up for another week or so his value will be at an all time high, but Utah not picking up his option is just stupid on KOCs part. Very cheap contract, someone might take a gamble. Nobody is gonna give up anything above a 2nd rnd pick for no guarantee of having Almond back after the season. I think its the dumbest thing KOC has done since drafting Kirk Snyder.

I mean its a bold move to not pick it up in an attempt to motivate him to take it up another gear, but now you're forced to trade him because he will likely peace out. Not because of money, but he wont play in Utah.

Tough to say, I like at least 1 back up that we have at every position. I think Almond is worth keeping just for the sake of whenever Harpring goes he can get his minutes. Almond has gotten 13mpg in the last 7 games, it looks like Sloan likes him considering he has to fight Miles, AK, Harpring, Brewer, and Korver for minutes at the 2-3, and he's getting some.

Almond did look ok tonight, either way he won't be with the team next year. The guy wants playing time and he won't get it now that CJ has a new contract. A second round pick for him would be good, since it seems the jazz have more success there than in the first round.

I didnt get to watch this one (not yet), but that is one ugly boxscore.

Is the league trying to torpedo our home advantage? We have to fly out of Cali late tonight, only to play against a smokinghotonfirecrazingburning Dwayne Wade? Bummer.

I think the last two games has shown how important Booze is.

ugly win, but good win considering the injuries. gotta love the balanced scoring, especially the consistent contribution from koufos.

Nothing better then an ugly win on the road when the team played crappy. Games like this pay off in the long run.

Ugly game you guys. But a win is a win. The Kings are just not able to struck any luck recently. Having losing 7 straight at home. Which is the most over a decade iirc. Argh...Brandon Jennings to the Kings? *sighs* Maybe...

I liked Almond for you guys. He played defense better than I thought. He played a 70%ish Martin pretty well. I can't believe the Jazz didn't pick up his option. But yeah, what do you guys think of Hawes? I really want people to know more about Hawes.

Here's what I think of Hawes. Do you want Almond for him? :) Hawes is a very nice player, he impressed me last night, and even more last week here in SLC when I saw him in person. He's a great pick for you guys. Hope your season turns around soon - I'm glad for you to see Martin back on the floor. If you want to start winning against say Portland, Denver and others, that would be just great by us. Good luck!

Hey man, considering we were on the road without Boozer, AK, Harprig, and Collins, and Williams is probably around 75%, we did pretty damn good considering we started out sloppy as hell. It says something to when we didn't allow them to convert from our turnovers.

Korver had one of his best outings so far. Am I the only one ticked off by him being so one dimensional? Hell he can't even create a shot for himself, he must be open and launch immediately, that seems to be his only ability, and at best he's an average defender.

Haha, if we don't move Okur for him, he's not going anywhere, and I'd definitely trade Okur for him, but they'd definitely not Hawes for Okur.

Last 5 games for Hawes: 29.6mpg 13.8ppg 6.8rpg 2.6apg 1.2spg 1.6bpg!

He's definitely one of the most improved players this year, though it might go to Sessions this year.
