Javier Vazquez and Boone Logan to the Braves for Jo-Jo Reyes, Brent Lillibridge and a prospect.

Supposedly the deal now has Reyes out & Flowers in.

The original deal was fine, including Flowers for a middle of the rotation starter is just plain STUPID.

If you were going to trade Flowers, including him in the Peavy deal might have got it done & then you are at least bringing in a top of the rotation starter.

You simply do not deplete the gems of your farm system for mediocrity, which is what has been done here.

Wren must go !!!

I don't fully trust JV as a pitcher and he's yet to improve on many things throughout his career. However, I feel he's worth 11 million per/year and he's going to be useful over the next two years. I just hope he performs at a high level.

Braves acquired RHP Javier Vazquez and LHP Boone Logan from the White Sox for catcher Tyler Flowers, infielder Brent Lillibridge, third baseman Jon Gilmore and LHP Santos Rodriguez.

Guess that's the final deal.

It wasn't that we weren't giving up enough to get Peavy, it was the no trade clause that he wanted and we refused.

i dislike this trade for the braves. Giving up alot for an end of the rotation starter.

Especially with the way this offseason is shaping up, braves mite as well just let some of the young guys get the starts anyways.

this is a nice trade for us....

the only player we gave up was flowers, and he was going to go this offseason anyways whether it was in this trade or another....all the other pieces arent even worth mentioning really....

flowers is a C/1B, and with bmac at C and kotchman at 1B with freeman on his way, flowers doesnt have a place in atlanta....

vazquez is a solid middle of the rotation workhorse which we needed, so stop complainin about this trade, nice job wren....
