Camby/returned 1st for Mike Miller and maybe bos 1st ????

i think clippers really lack a sg and we really lack a defensive centre next to al so i think its a great fit for both teams
davis hasnt really worked out and is probley better as a 6th man and gorden is still a rookie

Camby is really overrated and many Nuggets and now Clips fans say that he is selfish. not someone I'm looking for. getting the pick back would be sweet though.

Miller hasn't really fit in so far like I thought he would. I would consider it.

Camby is certainly the type of center we need. If he was 5 or 6 years younger, I would do it. I just don't think we are close enough to winning to justify renting an aging player for a couple years. If we had a young project that he could mentor while he was playing, it would be a different story.

As for Miller...he hasn't been what I was expecting (yet) but he is playing well and contributing to the team in ways other than scoring (i.e., rebounding, assists). If McCants was doing those things like Miller, I don't think everyone would be calling for his head. The team (read PG) just needs to figure out how to get Miller more shots per game.

I'd say bad for both teams. Camby is very selfish, and over-rated as a defender. He often leaves his man, playing bad man-to-man defense, just so he can try and get a block. For every block he gets, he gives up 3 or 4 easy baskets. I wouldn't want him on this team, or mentoring anyone.

Gordon is the starting 2 for the Clippers, they don't need Miller.

I wouldn't trade Miller for Camby, but I'd do expirings (Collins/McCants) and a Boston or Utah first for Camby

presumably as Camby ages and gets less effective, Love will get more effective and deserve more minutes

exactly what I was thinking Devilz. I don't think Camby's value is at a Mike miller to be honest. the clippers have stated that they are going to try and see if it works out with kaman/randolph/camby, but if they could just clear the salary, it may be worth it. Collins is nowhere near the athlete, but he does provide decent D and he would be more than happy coming off the bench unlike Camby (or Kaman). Plus, they have Jordan to develop and should get him more minutes. On the other hand, they are actually built to win now...so I am not sure.

Its interesting, but I don't think the Wolves are contenders for the next two years, so I think they wouldn't do this deal because of Camby's age.

Kaman, who rumors say would be the more likely of the two (if either) to get traded, would be more appealing here. I don't know that his trade value is significantly different.

Finally, I think working on returning the pick is a good idea. It looks like LAC is going to have to keep waiting on it anyway, and if things don't work out later in the season, they could use young talent now to bring up around similarly-aged Gordon and Thorton. The Wolves would like the pick back to reduce risk and untie their hands a bit in trades. Maybe even a couple late firsts for the picks return would be beneficial to both teams.

That is a good and tough question shrink. I know we have looked at what potential centers would be out there before, but may be worth revisting. The big thing is figuring out what we would be willing to give up to get one.

ATL: Horford is another big 4, Pachulia is a no thank you.
BOS: Perkins is big and that's about it, Davis is the same, but bigger and not as tall.
CHA: Okafor isn't 7ft, but is a very good player; Nazr isn't what he used to be; Ajinca is raw.
CHI: Gooden is not a center, Noah is young and erratic, Gray is still got a ways to go.
CLE: Wallace and Z are both paid way too much and too old, Varejao is not a true center but playing well enough.
DAL: Dampier makes too much and limited, Diop has a long contract but we have had interest.
DEN: Nene is a no no in my book due to cost and injuries, Hunter is less than inspiring
DET: Wallace, Johnson, Maxiel all glorified 4's playing in the east where size doesn't matter.
GS: Bierdins is more of a very athletic 4 in my book and would be tough to even pry away, they have length but no other real centers for Nellie ball.
HOU: No one touches Yao, everything else is a 4 backing up until ancient Mt. Mutumbo returns.
IND: Hibbert is there best center, Foster is what he is, Rasho is well known here, Murphy is able to play minutes there but more of a 4.
LAC: Kamen has been interesting, but down of late; Camby is past prime a bit; Jordan is raw.
LAL: Gasol can play center but is a finesse player, Bynum is unattainable I think, Mihm here as well.
MEM: The other Gasol is their mainstay, Darko has been discussed, Haddadi is raw.
MIA: We have had our share of the Blount already, Magloire is on roster, Mourning may return.
MIL: Bogut was discussed around draft time, Gadz looked good against us preseason.
NJN: Youth movement in play with Williams, Boone, Lopez, Jianlian, Swift, Anderson. How many bigs do they plan to play?
NOH: Chandler is interesting though probably a product of CP3, Armstrong is raw.
NYK: Yeah Curry!.........
OKC: Wilcox toar us up, Collison is fundamental, then the kids Swift, Petro, Sene are on roster.
ORL: Howard = pipedream, Battie is a no thank you we already have Collins.
PHI: Dalembart has been discussed, Spreights is young and probably would cost us more.
PHO: The Shaq is ready to crumble (aka old), Lopez was someone we looked at draft time.
POR: Oden is untouchable, Pryzbilla (aka Vanilla Gorilla) is probably not what we really want.
SAC: Miller too old, Moore not good, Hawes and Thompson is their future.
SAN: Duncan is unattainable and a 4, Thomas is a 4, Oberto is not good.
TOR: O'Neal is soft and older, Bargs is a 3 in a 5's body, Jawaii is raw, Bosh is unattainable, No Hump.
UTA: Has some intersting pieces, but all odd for fit and price. Okur, Boozer (a 4), Kirilenko, Koufos, Milsap, and the other Collins. All play the 4 or 5, not sure any are what we would want.


That's about all of them. For the established centers Chandler interests me even if he rides off of CP3. Long and athletic. Would end up costing us way too much.

We probably couldn't do it due to it costing us too much (I know I put in Jefferson, some of his shots or chucks in the post annoy me at times, that and lack of defense, but we really can't trade him I think, though trading for another 4 on draft day still befuddles me), and I doubt NOH would either since they thrive on running and athleticism. Would be interesting to see what others thought on fit.

--Depending on what it would take I'd be interested in Pachulia. I liked his attitude in the playoffs.

BOS: Perkins is big and that's about it, Davis is the same, but bigger and not as tall.
--Agree on Perkins, but he'd probably fit well with us.

CHA: Okafor isn't 7ft, but is a very good player; Nazr isn't what he used to be; Ajinca is raw.
--Okafor isn't a true C, but I'd take him.

--I'd still gamble on Noah.
