Calderon is way overrated

Like I said before, I am not buying the Calderon hype. He isnt the best PG in the East like everyone has been saying. It is clearly Devin Harris. Calderon only 9 points in 33 minutes? fail

no.1 PG in the East is Iverson
i'm making fun of Calderon because someone said Alston suck because Billups outplayed him
if it's someone like Watson then that's fine but
Billups? come on the guy is an all-star and final MVP
i know what you guys going to say Watson suck
but you guys wanted to trade Alston for Watson before

Rafer is our starting PG, but guess what he does Suck. He sucks regardless of who outplays him. If you want a PG who doesn't turn it over, nor is a assist king, can't shoot and for a PG (FT% is horrible), than i guess he is okay.

I do admit Rafer has been our best PG for the last 6 years ( when we had 40 year old Rod Strickland for a few games or charlie ward)

The problem is Rafer got burned by dribble penatration all day long.

As for the Raptors, they are not known for defense. Rockets are and I expect Rafer to play better D than Calderon.

But no matter what people say. Rafer sucks. It sucks so bad, when he leads an open break, I don't have the confidence he can make the right pass or make the layup.

Unfortunately he is our starting PG, so I will have to live with it, doesn't mean I have to think he is okay. "He just sucks to me"

You don't get it. It's almost impossible to stop a guard from penetration (unless you can read their mind of which way they are going). For a good shooter like Billups, you give him room he will shoot over you, you close out on him he will drive. There's no more hand check and you can't lay a hand on the guy on the perimeter (blame it on David Stern). That's why quick guard like Parker, Paul, Wade, etc can penetrate inside the paint at will. The only way to stop them is to double team them. Watch 2008 Finals again and see how Celtics are guarding Kobe. Problem is that your rotating defense need to be quick. We suck for doing that because of Yao. That's why our defense is better when Yao is not in the lineup. Alston is not a good shooter, that's nothing new. He's definitely not a bad defender.

Toronto not being known as good defensive team so Calderon get the exemption from being criticize as bad defender? What kind of excuse is that? Toronto is not one of the best, they are not one of the worst either. We are talking getting blowout by 39 points? Even the worst defensive team hasn't allow that to happen yet.

Ya we all know raefor doesnt cut it at point guard on a team thats expected to advance in the playoffs. Your just making yourself sound dumb saying he played horrible defense on billups,,,,,because his defense wasnt that bad billups is a very hard guard,,,,and to say billups penetrated easily past him is exactly why billups is a hard guard. If you give him space and dont allow him to penetrate as easily he will just nail 3 pointers with ease.

Some guys in this league u cant play one on one and just have to let them get theres and lock down the other players. If raefor gets burned by luke ridnour or someone like that then ok flame him.

I beg to differ.

Iverson is not a PG

Devin Harris is the best PG in the East.

Yeah, so far Harris is the best PG in the East. Iverson 2nd, and my boy Nelson 3rd. :D

Iverson may not be a pass first PG but he is playing PG
BTW Harris is shooting more than Iverson

No it's not. This is a totally false statement.

Opponents' Points/100 possessions with Yao: 100.1; without Yao: 104.7
Opponent eFG% with Yao: 44.9; without Yao: 49.0%

I was referring to last season, I'm not so sure about that stats since we haven't play everyone yet
