Sam Mitchell, after EVERY game, used to simply say that we "didn't make our shots" and we needed "to make more shots (but coming out of his mouth, it sounded like mo shats"

This is also a holdover from his absolutely absurd idea back when BC took over that we could win by averaging 100 shots a game.

Finally, they fire him. He tried his best the last 2 season, but he wasn't cutting it this season. Hope to see some improves in the next couple of days.

Finally. No offense to Sam, he was a good guy and good for an interview ... but he really wasn't a basketball genius.

When you let Kobe Bryant, as great as he is, score 81 points on you and still won't double team the guy ... yikes.

The bigger question now is who do the Raps go after? Flip Saunders or Jeff Van Gundy have to be the front runners.

Can Van Gundy really make this roster work? Flip would be better for more offense.

im so happy, we'll see if it actually makes a change. i feel like the teams not skilled enough to go beyond a second round n out but sam sure couldent get us past that. they needed a shakeup and why not?

interesting? incredibly.

i think there are many more stories behind this firing. still curious as to why the local writers knew nothing of this and denied it.
it was bloody obvious to US - fans!! the non-experts!

and i think that's incredibly interesting that no one seemed to get a sniff of this!

this morning, i posted how it was obvious that BC gave Sam an ultimatum. Sam's been walking around like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs. he looked incredibly stressed and fragile and the losses didn't roll off of him like they normally do.

so, again...why did Smith and everyone else miss this one?
