Amare Needs To Be Traded

Post#1 » by asubennett » Thu Dec 4, 2008 3:39 am

As sad as this makes me the guy clearly doesnt give a damn.

He wants to be the feature player and a game without Nash and Shaq he grabs 4 freaking rebounds and was burned more times on defense than I care to count by the likes of Hilton Armstrong and Tyson Chandler.

I imagine for every point he scores he gives up 2 points in poor help defense, poor man defense and lack of rebounding. The good thing is he will fetch us nice players in return because his offensive skills can be downright impressive.

Amare should be grabbing no less than 10 rebounds every night. 10 should be the rule /12-14 common and anything less than 10 the exception.

He's not my favorite player anymore because his attitude on the game of basketball seems to have changed

Hes got attitude problems and he's turned into a lazy douchebag who just wants to shoot the ball every time eh touches it and do nothing else on the court

I agree, the Suns should wait till Dec 15 so they can trade him to the Hawks for Josh Smith, Zaza Pachulia and a first round draft pick.

If we trade with Atlanta, Joe Johnson HAS to be coming back.

Yeah if the Suns could get him back that would be great but remember he wanted to be "the man" also just like Amare so I doubt that would be happening. If Amare gets traded though it's most likely to a eastern conf-team though I doubt he gets traded out west.

I wouldn't have any problem with him being "the man" here, and I don't think Nash would either. Shaq might though...

That's EXACTLY what I was going to post - Rudy, Conley (though I had Lowry as I thought MEM wouldn't give up Conley), Arthur and some picks...

Wonder if ATL would do Horford + JSmith + Law for Amare + Barbosa + Tucker...

Or how about OJ Mayo + Javaris Crittenton + Darrel Arthur + Lakers 2010 1st?

Ya'll act like Stat was making posters nightly with D'Antoni coaching. It's friggin Porter thats ruining his and Nash's production, they need to Sam Mitchell his ass within the next 5 games seriously.

No matter who the coach is, he should still be getting at least 10-12 boards a game. No coach is going to tell him not to rebound.

If we trade Amare, we need at least a half-decent scoring big back, otherwise we'd have no scoring in the front court. Horford would be nice, but I don't like J-Smooth here. I don't think he'll play well under Porter's half court offense. Rudy would also be nice, but he is basically the Grizz's franchise player, it be hard to get him.

I'm all for:

Vince Carter+Brook Lopez

LMA+Rudy Fernandez

Al Jefferson+Mike Miller

I will stick with a deal to Chicago ...

1) Reinsdorf is no stranger to trading big names...

2) the Bulls need front ct scoring to pair up with Rose...

3) they have enough youth to give up this yrs draft pick.

4) they are a major market so Stat would resign (very important to where ever he goes) and they have the cap room to do so

5) Vinnie Del N (could be + or - as I do not know their relationship)

6) They have decent pieces to offer ie Hinrich*, Gooden **, Nocioni*, Sefalosha*** (all good defensive players) Thomas has been a bust, but still is athletic as hell....Deng**** having down yr, but with big contract.

7) They might take on additional Suns, preferrably Bell and or Tucker

Nash Hinrich Singletary
Sefalosha Barbososo
Hill Barnes
Diaw Gooden Admundson
Shaq Lopez

Dragic to the D league
added Chi 2009 1st pick unprotected to go with our 2009 1st

is this a good team ???

Sincerely,

Frankstradamus

* both have regressing contracts
** expiring contract
*** once covetted by Suns
**** could have been a Sun

I have no beef with trading Amare. I really am not against trading Shaq, Nash, Bell, and Hill. I have always felt that most of our success was due to our system with D'Antoni, and his meshing of players to system. I don't feel that we can regain that this season, or the next season.

Fire Porter, its obvious he is simply a yes man, that is the wrong man, with the wrong system.

Kerr: I was trying to figure out what he has done to show us that he knows what the hell he is doing. I will give him Barnes, that wasn't bad. However, I feel he is giving the organization a bad name, and we will have a difficult time getting key free agents in the future.

So I say we rebuild.

trade 1:

Nash and Barbosa to Portland for Bayless, Rudy, Webster, and Lafrentz.

trade 2:

Shaq, and Hill to NY for Marbury and their next available 1st. Marbury then waived.

trade 3:

Amare, and Barnes to MIA for Beasley, Haslem, and Cook.

trade 4:

Bell and recently brought in Webster, for Marvin Williams, and Zaza Pachulia.

New rebuilt lineup

Bayless/Dragic
Rudy/Cook
Marvin/Diaw
Beasley/Haslem/Diaw
Lopez/Pachulia.

Then get us a young run n gun coach.

If we lose Amare because of this Kerr/Porter/Sarver BS.....I don't know what I'll do.

We don't have to get a big back, we have Boris, insert him into the starting lineup.

I'm not ready to give up on Amare just yet. But I'm certainly as open as ever to the idea of trading him (since he opened his mouth that he wants to opt out and play else where). MikeD had him nearly averaging 30 and 10 when Shaq came on board and Shaq still got his share of touches so those guys can play together, it's just a matter of the coach figure it out. But yeah, he's certainly in a funk right now. We can only blame so much on the coach, players still have to play hard. Nash and Raja had voiced their displeasure with the system, but they still play as hard. I'm not sure what the real problem is with Amare but I think he can get his groove back. He usually ends his seasons a lot better than he starts them anyway.

Totally agree with mkot.

That being said, Amare RIGHT NOW is probably going to net the Suns a very good mix/package of players

As Frank has said, the Bulls are appealing.
Hinrich I've always liked, and Nocioni, TT and Thabo.

If they could move

Amare + Tucker + Dragic

for

Hinrich + Thabo + Noah + TyT

I have to say I wouldn't be annoyed...especially if we could get another pick back and throw in Lindsey Hunter for good measure...
