:nonono:

Just saw on the news that Pat and Kevin Williams have likely been caught violating the NFL's steroid policy and will face a four game suspension. LOL. Worst season ever!

Edit: Here's an article.

Report: Kevin, Pat Williams could face doping suspensions
A Fox Sports report says Kevin and Pat Williams could face suspensions for using a banned diuretic in water pills.

By JUDD ZULGAD and CHIP SCOGGINS, Star Tribune staff writers

Last update: October 27, 2008 - 11:48 AM

Fox's Jay Glazer reported Sunday that the co-anchors of one of the NFL's best run defenses tested positive for a banned diuretic in water pills, and that while the appeal of their suspensions was supposed to be this past week, it has been pushed back. The Vikings did not play this past week, and players will return to Winter Park today after being off since Tuesday.

Pat Williams' agent, Angelo Wright, said in a text message that he needs to "investigate the allegations" before responding. It remains unclear when the Williamses' appeals would be heard or when their suspensions might be announced if those appeals are denied.

Kevin Williams' agent, Tom Condon, did not return a message left at his office or an e-mail seeking a comment Sunday.

Vikings spokesman Bob Hagan said Sunday the team does not comment on the league's substance abuse policies. Greg Aiello, the NFL's senior vice president of public relations, said the league also would have no comment. This is because the system is supposed to be confidential until the appeals process has played out and a suspension is announced.

The NFL began testing for steroids in 1987 and instituted discipline for using them two years later. The number of players who have tested positive under the steroid policy since that time is well over 100.

If the Vikings do lose the Williamses for four games, they will become the second and third starters from the team's defensive line to be suspended for violating the league's steroid policy in two years. End Ray Edwards sat out the final four games last season after having his appeal denied.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

They haven't been caught taking steroids, they've been caught taking water pills, which can either be used a masking agent or a weight loss supplement.

now Berrian is talking about a hotline the NFL has that players can call to determine the legality of substances

frankly there are too many Vikings in the news about things i'd rather not have them be in the news about

They are suspended. Bye bye any playoff hopes we had.

I wouldn't say that. We just got to win 2 out of 4 and 1 of those is against Detroit. I don't like our chances in the other 3 but we got AD and that gives us a shot.

this is going to be interesting, AP can win some games for ya, and it feels like he's ready to bust out with a huge game

falcons, giants games could get ugly with the way they run the ball

but the giants could be resting their starters by then, should have everything under control, home-field wise

Giants resting their starters will be good. Detroit is a must-win.

Looks like we have them for at least 1 more game according to wiretap! I wish we could switch the game for one where we could use them more.

ESPN - NFL commissioner Roger Goodell believes that the suspensions of five players for violating the league's anti-doping policy will be upheld in court.

A federal judge asked for more time to make a decision on the suspensions of the Vikings' Kevin Williams and Pat Williams and the Saints' Deuce McAllister, Will Smith and Charles Grant.

The league originally ruled they would begin serving their four-game suspensions Sunday, but four of the players ended up playing.

Of course Goodell believes the suspensions will stick , and the Williams probably will be suspended eventually but it might take weeks or even months. Hopefully the lawyers can push this back until next season.
