Hallelujah!

"We don't need Coach's permission to run".

This is going to be all out mutiny. I love it!

GOOD

Worked ok last year when he played the Kareem role, do it AGAIN but we need more consistency. Shaq is NOT the problem

I agree. He's the LAST person who should be blamed for this mess.

This is all Terry Porter's fault, in my opinion.

But you know it's just a matter of time before the media blames Shaq for this mess even though it's not his fault.

^I dunno...I think the media has been quite friendly at the moment. The other week when Jon Barry was commentating he was saying everything we were all thinking...No fire, no cohesion, no fight and no coaching leadership.

Shaq has been good, Amare/Bell/Nash to a lesser extent have been average at best. Bell seems to be clinging to that starting SG spot...

Bell's an interesting case. He's great from behind the arc, and Nash sets him up best, so in that respect, he needs Nash to be effective. However, his days as a lockdown defender are over, and he's useless inside the arc, so he doesn't pressure the D that much. On the other hand, he's still better on D than Barbo is...

Shaq suiting actions to words, as he usually does on the court. For several years now, he's made it clear that he's comfortable not being the first option, so long as the ball comes his way on a regular basis and he can make plays for others. He's a very good passing hub and he's happy to feed Amare.

Amare looked good offensively but man, sad-sack rebounding and defense. Same ol' from STAT...

Amare should be getting 9-12 rebounds on a nightly basis. I'm just upset he doesnt work harder on the defensive end.

Raja is my least favorite Sun, but he is playing great basketball this season. His midrange confidence has gone up, he has been involved with much more of the playmaking, his defense is solid, and he is shooting great behind the arc.

Amare needs learn how to conduct himself. The tons of techs, shoddy defense and horrible soundbites he is giving lately completely contradicts all his intentions. He needs to get a grip on how to not look like an idiot.

Shaq just needs to stay healthy and keep doing what he's doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS_wEznImsQ

Shaq has never been the problem for the Suns. D'Antoni used him and Amare well and Shaq has played his role in Porter's offense. But I'm glad he's being vocal about bringing up the tempo. It just feels more and more like the players are getting back some of the control in the offensive system which I think is important.

I actually wouldn't mind entertaining that idea. Here's our new starting line up
Nash
Barnes
Hill
Amar'e
Shaq
with Bell, Barbosa, & Diaw bieng the first 3 off the bench. this team can still run!!!

I'd like Barnes to start at the 2. Last night when Barnes and Hill were both on the floor Phoenix was operating quite nicely.

I wonder how Raja would take coming off the bench, but whatever, if it gets the job done, then who cares. .

"I'm not the No. 1 option. I realize that. I understand that. I'm good with that. But when I get my opportunity to do it, I'm shooting in the 60 percent range, and I always make the good play. When I get doubled, I look for my shooter. I look for Amaré (Stoudemire)."

Straight up.

Utilize him the way he has been born to be utilized, as a post option. Shaq being a post option doesn't mean we should stop running on all occasions. When the game settles down, and the defense buckles up, the game doesnt become up-tempo anyway, it plays in the half court setting, which is precisely why the Suns always lose in clutch situations. We should be greatful that we have someone to through it to when the game slows down, and we have to take quality shots. Because Shaq is still a 60% FG shooter, Nash is the best shooting PG in the league and Amare is the best finishing big man in the league. We shouldnt be struggling, and teams should really be adjusting their gameplans to match the difficulties we can give other teams.
