Honestly if Oscar can't knock him out, he should retire...

Manny is basically moving up 3 weight classes to face Oscar.

Size can sometimes be negated but not in this fight... left hook for the win...

if you followed the training of pacquiao, he was a able to knock down his 147 sparring partners, so power will not be an issue here.the critical here for pacquiao is, if he can take the punch of a natural 154 pounder.

il take pacquiao here but the 1st four rounds are going to be crucial for him.

Oscar has a very respectable chin... people love to hate on him but one of his best abilities has been the ability to take punches from hard hitters like Vargas and Trinidad. He has only been knocked out once by a significantly bigger man( Hopkins) and down once by Ike Quartey where he got the KO later on in the fight.

The fact is that Manny doesn't have a great chin. He has gotten wobbled in the past by Marquez and Morales, so I expect a KO by Oscar.

the thing is, deala hoya isnt the same fighter that we used to see.. he moved down from 154 pounder to 147 pounder which will take toll as the fight go the distance. as long as pacquiao can avoid that left hook, in the first four rounds, he can win this fight. dela hoya is a good counter puncher but he isnt as fast as before, is not accurate as before. but i still have dela hoya 55 percent chance of winning this match though.

Great win? that is an understatement...

I think he just sealed himself as the greatest fighter of the 2000s. If you put into some context, he is up there with Armstrong,Fitzsimmons, and Jones winning at higher weight classes.

I was amazed that Oscar came in at 147... and Manny was 148.5. He gave up his biggest advantage of being the bigger fighter and once he did that... it was all over. He had no pop in his punches.

Nacho did the right thing and stopped the fight...

I think this just looks better for Marquez when you think about it in reflection. the difference between him and Pacman is just one point in two fights.

may be delahoya thought he'l become faster if he maintained his weight. he's been training with that weight for a few weeks. even if he weighted 154lbs tonight, same result, he cant punch anymore, might be even slower. he should retire, nothing to prove anymore. he fought the best.

pacquiao could actually be top 5 boxer of all time.

I wouldn't go that far... but he is up there with the greatest...

Duran who isn't a top 5 fighter would maul him down...

There is also Pep, Saldivar, Arguello Gomez,Naploes... I can go on and on...

Manny just proved his critics wrong. Speed > Power in boxing. He is too quick for Dela Hoya (including the age difference). Oh Boy, this guy still have 3-4 years left on his prime.

he improved so much. i remember when pacquiao used to be a one dimensional fighter, he just want to land that left straight. now he is the best boxer out there

Roach's know how about Dela Hoya's strengths, weaknesses and conditioning is something overlooked. Roach knows where and when Dela Hoya cannot connect his shots. Same with when and where Manny should punch him slowly but surely.
