That's it man. He's done.
I think we should have a military coup, take the team from Sarver, get rid of Kerr and Porter, and install a new regime.
Maybe I've been watching too much 24.

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
the problem is that we´re doing nothing. we handed out the team to kerr and sarver and they do what they want. you know what it is. SAVE MONEY... we´re done.

Props to the great one

Kerr and Porter have destroyed this team, I agree.

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
Can we fire $arver?
I wonder where are those people who said MikeD was responsible for all the issues we had? Those same people who said "alot of issues may go away" once we bring in a new coach and have Kerr as our GM. Those same people who tried to painted $arver clean and MikeD the evil. So MikeD gave Banks a 5 years deal resulted in the picks dumping, while Griffin really was the guy who contacted/signed Banks. Well, Kerr gave an unproven second round draft choice a 4 year guaranteed.
I hope those people are now seeing what the REAL problem is with this team.
Sarver In > The Colangelo's Out > Kerr In > MikeD Out > Porter In > ???
If Sarver has any sense, he cuts his losses and gets rid of Porter. But he won't. I'm telling myself, he won't because he isn't going to pay for 3 coaches at the same time because that's what it will turn out to be if he fire Porter now (I believe he has signed for 3 years?). He and Kerr is too invested. They will let this team rot from the inside out before admitting they f*cked up.
My guess is the players will get punished, meaning, they will get traded. Hopefully we get draft picks and cap space in return so we can reload as fast as we could. But with Kerr's record of making/negotiating trades, boy, who am I kidding?
I will say this though, I maintained that, this team, as it is, has 1 more run in it, if not 2, with the proper coaching and style. Porters been dreadful and the players are just going through the motions. They know he's a dumbass....heck, after watching his interview on TNT the first time, I thought this is a 6th grader talking. If he doesn't know how to talk, and lack vocabulary, perhaps go to Nash, or Shaq, they are the creative talker.
Fire Porter. Fire Kerr. And I hope someone can buyout $arver's @ss. He hired his buddy and Kerr reciprocated by hiring his buddy. It should have never come to this, cheaping out (draft picks ditching and KT dumpint) and changing the GM and coaching staff in the midst of a legit title run. BS.

The Colangelo's didn't bring us a title either, but at least they made us proud to be Suns fans

Too bad KJ's into politics now, I think he woulda made a great GM or coach.
Sarver is too tight on the wallet to fire either of Kerr or Porter, don't count on em leaving

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
It was tough to watch Kerr on TNT last night, the program he used to shine in as a color commentator. There's no question he's having a Matt Millen-esque transition.
I don't follow the team as closely as you guys, however I'm well aware of the moves he's made that have failed. Has he made any moves since being hired that have succeeded?
It's early in his tenure and no doubt he's struggled, but you have to give a GM 4 years in my opinion. Kerr had no front office experience to my knowledge meaning there will be growing pains. I think you've got to let him work through them or it doesn't make sense hiring an inexperienced guy in the first place.

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
Kerr has made some really good moves.
- Signing Grant Hill
- Signing Matt Barnes
- Robin Lopez has showed promise when he's played.
But then we all know he's also made some REALLY bad moves like the Shaq trade, letting D'Antoni leave, and replacing him with Terry Porter who's not a good coach.
Hopefully Porter improves (He's still young), but we've all been extremely disappointed in him.
Based on talent, the Suns are a contender, but Porter's horrible coaching so far is the main reason why the team is struggling so much.

The team is 11-9 also. It's not like this season is over. They can still make this right, but some serious adjustments have to be made.

I think he's guessing that he's a moron, finally.
I think Lopez was a logic and safe choice, and Hill sure didn't come because of Kerr.

That's EXACTLY how this is going to play out. Someone is going to be the scapegoat for this mess because this team is not going to be floating above .500 for very much longer. It's definitely not going to be Kerr because him and Sarver are buddies. Not going to be Porter because that would basically undermine Kerr. So it's going to be players. And really the only players we have of value right now based on performance and contracts are Amare and Steve. Yikes.

Lopez is an atrocious offensive player and doesn't really rebound. Still don't see what all the hoopla is about him, especially with the 15th pick in one of the deepest drafts ever.
Hill hasn't exactly been tearing it up this year either and he missed the playoffs last year. So really, Kerr has contributed ZERO to this team.

Yeah, still not that impressed with Lopez, and they totally lied to us about Tragic(in their own effing video you can see that he's not ranked 2nd, they must think we're morons)

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
It's way too early to evaluate Lopez.
That said, if I was drafting I woulda taken Batum, Koufos, and Hibbert over him in that order.
As of now it looks like I'd have been right for Batum since he's been the most impressive of the 1st round guys that were still available @ the 15th pick (Chalmers was a 2nd rounder). Time will tell on Koufos and Hibbert...

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
I wish we could fire Sarver. Im not a fan of the Colanglos either, but they did handle the organization well.
Kerr is a moron, but we should give him some time. Porter, the guy is nothing more than a bench coach. I don't think he has what it takes to be a head coach and will be gone in 2 years when the rebuilding officially starts.
I am sure Nash will not return; neither will shaq when their contracts are up. I think the guy that is going to be traded is Amare and Barbs. I think Amare has said too much and I think Kerr is going to ship him out. I hope it is during the off-season and hopefully land a top pick and get B.Griffen.
This team is done. Yes, we can make the playoffs, but the door has shut IMO. Unless some miracle happens, the suns do not have a chance at a title.
Honestly, I am nervous that the start of this franchise fall started last year. I just hope we do not get stuck at the bottom for too long.

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
Its funny how you guys sit here and blame the coaching staff and Kerr.
Im an outsider and I watched the game last night against Dallas and I honestly didnt see anyone other than Amare busting his ass out there.
Your team has lost its heart and its motivation, and its starts by your team Captians.
Nash has not played well at all, maybe his injuries, maybe other things.
Shaq, how many shots did Shaq miss last night, I think Shaq trade was wrong.
He can barley run up and down the court, at times when he was setting plays he seemed like he was getting in the way of Nash and actually cluttering up the middle with his presence.
He couldnt make a shot and he seems lost out there in your lineup.
Anyhow I think when a team starts doing bad you always blame the Coach and then the G.M for the trades and the coaching staff, but this is a team sport.
You guys have a very good squad and they're not clicking togehter at all.

Re: Fire Steve Kerr
Its the whole system man. Players and front office. Our team has enough talent to be a solid team. I think Porter has handled this team wrong, and he and Kerr are trying to teach an old dog new tricks with these guys. Thing is, we are no better than last year on D, and our O is even worse. So we digressed, did not progress as of now. Yes, it is early, but the west is so deep they do not have time to wait and get the chemistry going. Honestly, they should have had it already.

They're dispirited b/c they're playing for an absolute joke of a coach, and b/c Amare thinks he's the best player in the league. I disagree w/ you about effort; Nash, Diaw, Hill seemed like they were trying; Shaq, Bell and Amare weren't doing crap. Amare was scoring and that's about it.
