Stickied

We need to move on from the last game's debacle.

And for you boxing fans, the De La Hoya-Pacquiao weigh-in is tonight. The fight is tomorrow night.

or we come out flat and lose again. Frank then goes on the hot seat and is fired after 3 straight losses, the last being to the Knicks.

A word of warning, Minny beat Detroit in Detroit recently and we are a similar team to the Pistons.

And we beat Detroit also. We should not worry about Minnesota. Even if its a dog fight we should come out with a W.

but against Detroit we cared. recently nobody cared (aside from Love). not that I want it or hope to see it happen but I expect a W for you guys. it might look close on box score afterall but I think we'll never have a remote chance to win.

VCRJKidd15 wrote:isnt Mike Miller injured and cannot play today?

I read that he'll decide wether he plays or not by game time. but it wouldn't matter anyway...

oh and for the record: I don't want to see this kind of S5 for us tonight. gosh stop playing Gomes as a 4! but who am I talking about? this is Wittman but I think you are used to a bad coach or am I mixing anything up?

anyway, good game guys! I'll be on fire because my roommate happens to be a Nets fan and he'll mock me for weeks if you win (which I'll see happen anyway).

Haven't followed either boxer recently but did catch the 24/7 promo. It seems Pacquiao is expecting his natural size disadvantage will be made up by his hand speed...I think it's a tough one for him but he's one of the more exciting boxers in today's game.

Recently saw some Original Ultimate Fighting (MMA) footage and Royce Gracie was beating/submitting guys 50 lbs heavier then he was ! - no weight classes back then. Seems really crazy now. Good way to get your clock run if your the small guy no matter your skill level. That was some impressive stuff.

Back to the game -
There's no easy game for the Nets and Vince has put some pressure on himself with his words - I expect him to be very aggressive today so he either gets a monster game or will have an awful shooting%, hopefully it's the former.

Wonder how Twins' return will be received (or even heard...)

Jefferson has killed the Nets before - not even sure what matchups are out there. They can bring out Love / Jefferson - Collins / Jefferson. Mike Miller. Hrm...look forward to seeing more CDR. Hope they bring a bit more balance to their offense this game - seemed a bit too predictable last game - mix it up more and left more guys touch the ball. Few more post touches for Lopez too.

Nice sexy win.
Once again words cant stress just how much heart this team has, last year a loss like the one we had against the Wiz would have completley killed the team's morale, this year though they just used it against the other team in the next game and we blew them out of the water with an excellent showing.

Should be a close game against Philly tomorrow I think they can definately punish us if they play to their strengths (fast break on a TO), but we're playing really well lately and we could wind up with the W.

The Nets are a good 3pt shooting team?
Who would have thought?

i always also like to add that The Nets made false advertising for saying it was all you can eat night when it wasnt. I asked if it was and no one even heard of it.

Lets not jump the tiger mate, we're playing really well lately but nothing's over or closed yet we have to keep this up first but yeah for now at least its time for those a holes to eat their words and at least some of them in the rankings have.
