Houston Chronicle Media turning on T-Mac as well!!!

Post#1 » by killermamba » Thu Dec 4, 2008 10:58 am

It's quite obvious the guy has worn out his welcome in Houston, especially these last two years with the chronic injuries, excuses, crying, whining and even as far as blaming the Toyota Center's "depth perception."

Houston fans have gotten very tired and extremely frustrated with the supposed "superstar" while players like Kobe, Wade, Bosh etc have proven to play thru and with injuries. Check out the ticker regarding T-Mac's missed games this year on the link below. Must See!

The unfortunate thing for McGrady is that there are very few places in this league where he can go and not automatically become the best player on that team. Thats a problem and will incur major hate when things like this happen.

I guess he is cursed with never getting into that second option role he was destined to be. Everywhere he goes he is a #1 option and he rarely has done the things you would expect from that caliber of player.

Heh, I saw that yesterday and was wondering whether they did it because they were personally tired of his antics, or if it was because they thought fans were tired enough of his antics that it would help their hit count/paper sales. Given how it's somewhat misleading, I think it was either the latter or pushed through by Blinebury somehow.

I, too, have never been this critical of McGrady before. I'm not gonna fault him for all the injuries he had in the past, but after the knee surgery, he's made a couple of bad decisions while monitoring his status. He should have taken his rehab seriously; he's had 5 months to do just that. No excuses.

He made mistakes which is why he's drawing a lot of criticism. And it's never too late for McGrady to turn this thing around. Take the rehab seriously and come back like a professional athlete.

I've stated this before......and will reiterate....T-mac doesn't care about winning. He wants to win but won't put forth the effort it takes to win. Kobe/lebron/wade/Jordan put in work in the off season to work on their game and sacrifices personal time to get better. T-mac hasn't showed me anything new in 6 years other than extending his injury/excuses list. He's making money regardless so why try to win? Will it get him more money? In his head he doesn't think the work is worth it and it's sad. Hopefully he'll feel like vince carter (later in his career) and start trying to win something, but it'll prob be too late, much like vince. And trust me, it wont be in houston. Morey is a smart guy, and I can't wait to see who he's gonna bring in to add to the Yao-Artest beast.

We need Artest and Battier to stop limping on their ankles and get well. Artest was unstopple and drove at will when we played him and the Kings. With Battier's defensive prowess combined with 3-point shooting and we have a duo that is better than TMAC + Artest at the wing. We got scrap players that are legit in Scola, Landry, Hayes, and Dorsey when he can play.

The big three on this team is probably Battier + Artest + Yao. If TMac sits it out and the other 2 can recover we still can win a championship. Ankle injuries and Yao still recovering it seems hampers us.

Yeah, definitely Blinebury's (and possibly Justice's) work. Feigen said he didn't have anything to do with it in his article comments.
