Chucky Atkins anyone?

Post#1 » by TXSun » Sat Dec 6, 2008 10:55 pm

Magic are in desperate need for a solid back PG since Nelson is having an injured and less than average season thus far. They are looking to make a move to get Chucky. How about us? I think we are in desperate need of a proven solid PG like Chucky. Lets trade Tucker or Dragic or Singletary for Chucky. He can give us solid minutes, I'm talking 15-20 minutes a game. We need someone like him since we failed to land just about every back up PG in the offseason.

I said we should have gone after him WAAAAT back - agreed, if healthy he's a savvy vet who CAN make that 3 in the second unit that Dragic seemingly can't make

I doubt they do it unless we throw in a second (Tucker + Singletary + Second) and I doubt thats fair for us, but I still do it. Send Dragic to D-League and before All Star break sign Bonzi Wells. Improves us quite a bit, I'd say.

Yeah Wells would improve perimeter D and give us another post up option and someone who can create their own shot, though no range on his J and he's a bit....volatile...isn't he?
Must be a reason he hasn't latched on yet...

He hasn't latched on yet because nobody wants to sign him for more than the vet min and he say he don't wanna sign to a vet min. Which pretty much leaves us out of the "race."

I'm sure Magic has more to offer the Nuggets than Tucker or Dragic or Single + picks.

I still want to see what Tuck can do for us. Dragis is a piece of crap IMO. We could have had better players and sold out for a scrub that is going to be the next steve nash with D (According to Kerr)

Atkins would be a nice addition as a backup PG, one we need.

We need to see who is going to get released and who can be had on a cheap trade. We have to get a backup PG. Dragic needs to go to the D league and develop if he has the potential to be the future for our team. We need a vet. Like I said, I want to see if Tuck can be the SG we need on this team.
