CJ needs to man up, grow a pair a nuts, and hit the clutch shot

I thought CJ was doing a fine job staying in front of Barbosa. Not great, but OK. Certainly better than Price. Looks like it would have been much better to have CJ at SG and AK on the floor.
+1, I can see the logic that sloan was using, but Price hadn't played all game until the very end, so his choices were to put in a cold player or use CJ and AK. Again though, a small quick guard who can drive absolutely kills us because we have no interior defense. Okur played awful. On the upside, how good does CJ look, the guy is turning into a very good player.

May be that would have been the case; I guess we'll never know now.
But I'm still far more annoyed at the 11 offensive boards for Stuodamire....

Well you can blame the Charmin man. He is equally worse if not more worse than Boozer on D. He only excels against the Yao's of the world because they're slower than Memo...not by much though.

I hope we re-sign Knight, draft Darren Collison and let Ronnie Price go. There is a reason Sacto just let him go.

Yeah, I wish we can see more Knight on the floor. He can run a team and play great D.
And less Harp. If he could only finish his baskets we could win..

I think Price is great for what he is and should be, the 3rd guard on the team. He will play less minutes when Knight gets healthy, and that is fine. He should stay a pretty good and CHEAP 3rd option at the point. No reason to get rid of him.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I'm just glad that we had a shot at the game at the end considering we were on a 2nd of a back to back on the road. Deron went from looking 60-70% at Miami to about 90% the last two games. He didn't even look very winded for 38 minutes on the 2nd of game of a back to back. Am I the only one getting sick of Korver, and wanting to see more of Almond? Almond just creates for himself, and plays pretty good D too, especially for a sophmore, while Korver is just pop and shoot, and he's gotta be open. That's all he does, with the exception of a rare hustle play here and there.

Re: Jazz @ Los Suns 7pm MST
I thought Amare beat us with his offensive rebounding.
Plain and simple. I dont know why we couldn't keep a body on him. I guess that's why he's a star.
Also, we spent a lot of time complaining about calls while the other team was streaking down the floor for easy baskets. Less whining and more playing the game would have helped.
But, mostly if we rebound we win this game. We got outworked.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Re: Jazz @ Los Suns 7pm MST
Last year I was really high on Korver, he was a spark we were missing. Unfortunately, he has been very inconsistent this year with poor production. He has been very clumsy with the ball and not the spark he was off the bench last year. I don't know if the injury is affecting his play that much, but I have been very disappointed.
As for Almond, I am still unsure about him. He has looked pretty good here and there, but still very under developed. I am willing to see him get more minutes, but not ready to say I think he is a fit with the team.
My main surprise has been CJ. I have been pretty low on this guy until this year, and I am impressed with what I have seen. When I saw the Brewer had bulked up and had a great preseason, I thought he is for sure the man, but CJ has been the man as of late. I like what he brings, and I'm glad we picked up his contract. Brewer has really fallen off lately, especially tonight when we really could have used more production. He is still good, and I think is the better of the 2 right now, but I am starting to like CJ much more.

Didn't help PERIOD....... How is fouling a guy who is having an excellent day at the free throw line better than letting him shoot wide open threes? Barbosa is shooting 3's at 28% this year......
certainly not 29% tonight...
Actually he has was 1-3 (that's 33%, just in case you couldn't figure it out) on three-pointers, and 10-10 (that's 100%) from the free throw line...... Now, which odds would you rather have?

We had all the chances in the world to win this game, but we just didn't do anything with our opportunities and didn't take care of the boards. Was hoping to see some clutch play from Deron, but it just wasn't to be last night.
Strange that Andrei Kirilenko is the second best clutch three-point shooter on our team, but he hits a lot of big ones.
Can't wait to get Boozer back, and I hope Brevin's okay. Throat stuff is scary.
