Bears have serious interest in Chris Brown....

A little bit down on this page:

Wow. I'm actually pretty surprised at this. I woulldn't think that we would be willing to carry four running backs, but I guess if you look at Wolfe and Peterson as serious special team contributors, then it's possible.

I actually like this idea a lot. I'm one of those people who isn't completly sold on Benson and not confident that Wolfe can be a serious contributor. I have no problem getting too much depth or taking carries out of the hands of someone who hasn't proven anything. If Benson shows up and rolls, that's great and I'll be thrilled. But Peterson and Wolfe can't replace Jones who was a serious part of a Super Bowl team.

I hope he takes the offer and we sort out all of the other issues later.

I don't think we need another running back.
We already have Benson, Peterson, and Wolfe

the only way i see him filling a need for us is if wolfe and peterson are mainly utilized as play special teamers and we use brown as a backup to benson or if brown is willing to play special teams and not get that much playing time altogether... also bringing him in for cheap would be another thing...

Doesn't make sense to waste money on a RB we will use very little this season.

well, he is better then AP, and Wolfe as well, but he's too much like benson in my eyes. Our backup needs to be different, like wolfe. But he would be great insurance in case benson gets hurt.

I hear everyone talking about how we have Wolfe. Don't forget that he has proven *nothing* - and I doubt the Bears would be looking at Brown seriously if they thought AP was a solid backup. They are looking to improve at the position -which we want them to do. So don't complain. ;)

^ Kind of agreed. I still firmly believe Wolfe can be a solid three down back...maybe just not next year.

Pfft, we don't need him.

<_< Anyone that signs with the Titans over us is kind of crazy in my books.
