Trade with the Raps

Post#1 » by Jazzfan Bayamon » Sat Dec 6, 2008 9:42 pm

Trade ID #4852953

Diop
Bass
Green

for

Bargniani
Adams
Jawai

works after Dec 15.

Picks could be added on either side.

You guys (Mavs) are on a roll, and Diop isn't really playing that much, so basically it comes down to IMO to Bass for Bargniani. Given that Bargs is so young, you guys would get a good maybe great player for the future, and he'd learn directly from Dirk, who better?? Adams and Jawai are filler that could end up being useful (hell, look at Bass, he was a filler type player a while ago) or not.

Thoughts???

We would be dumb to pass on this one. Bargniani has too much potential to not take a gamble on him.

That said i dont think Toronto is that much interested in that package.

The mere fact that Bargnani has a guaranteed contract next year and qualifying offer 2010 would make him more attractive than Bass who we may lose for nothihng if we don't offer him a MLE multi-year deal. Bass complements Dirk better (as a differnt look for teams that may defend tall jumpshooting PFs but suck inside like the Warriors) but we may be able to do without. Diop and Green I can do without.

Is there anyway that Bass can be changed to Williams? Diop, Bass, Green for Bargnani and whoever (besides Kapono).

Not sure about Bargnani's defense and ability to rebound the ball. I know the Raps want to make a move but I am sure they really don't want to move Bargnani,Bosh or O'neal although I could be wrong.

raptors fan hear i can understand why you are afraid of his defesive abilities but i asure you this year he is one of our best defensive players, raptors trainders did a really good job on his defensive game but ant say the same thing about his rebounding

No way Toronto trades Bargnani this early in his career, and if they did, Mavs would have to give more than a few career bench players

If Bass is a "career backup" then bargs is a "career backup"

Return to Dallas Mavericks
