Happy 20th Anniversary Sloan!!

Post#1 » by xstockholmsyndromex » Tue Dec 9, 2008 3:12 pm

Today, December 9, 2008, celebrates Sloan's 20th Anniversary as head coach here in Utah. No one in major professional sports has coached for the same team as long as Sloan.

Love em or hate em, you have the respect the man for the hard work he has put in for the Jazz. He has always put competetive teams on the floor and seems to bring the best out in players......contrary to some people's belief.

Interesting stat, 223 head coaching changes have occurred in the NBA since Sloan was named head coach. I think our fan base has been extremely blessed to have had a HOF Coach like Jerry Sloan here in Utah for as long as he has. Im glad that Larry Miller and the Jazz organization have stuck with Sloan year after year, and appreciate the confidence they show in him and his coaching game plan.

Congrats Sloan on reaching such a great milestone....thanks for all all of the years, hard work, and awesome memories we as Jazz fans have enjoyed!!

Congrats to Sloan. I don't always agree with his decisions, but damn I respect him.

Here's to Jerry! Hopefully he learns when to call timeouts.

In sports a coach is measured by not only winning, but also by championships. Coaches have been fired for failing to get a championship or some are fired after winning a championship and not doing it again. Its an unfair expectation, but thats the reality. So for sloan to coach 20 yrs with no championships shows an extreme amount of patients from the organization.

Yes, congrats to Jerry Sloan.

I really want him to get a ring with The Jazz. That would be simply amazing.

He's one of my idols no question about it.

Go Jerry !!
