Utah @ Minnesota

Post#1 » by theGreatRC » Tue Dec 9, 2008 6:11 pm

First, I just want to say that why is there always some sort of special event, or we are some sort of place mat for teams to wipe their feet in the door.

Mavericks got their first win of the season on us.
Thunder get their first win in franchise history over us.
The Spurs avoided their worst start in franchise history with a win over us.

Now Jerry Sloan celebrates his 20 years in Utah, when he was hired on Dec. 9th 1988, we are surely going to get our asses spanked.

I guess this is sort of a special event for us, too. Mchale is our new coach, but one of us has to lose..

Well those first three are because the team sucked. The Sloan/McHale thing should cancel out tonight. We may end up losing but I don't think it will be an a** spanking. Should be a fun game. I think McHale will have the guys playing loose.

Think the reason McHale hates coaching so much is because he can barely walk at this point?

I hope we win, specifically by 11. Crosses fingers.

LOL, the NBA needs us around because we provide some vital services. For one thing, we are always there to make scrubs look great. If a player is in a slump or primed to have a breakout game, it's going to happen against us. We allow other teams to break records and win national acclaim. ESPN loves us because we provide over 35% of their NBA highlights. We make players like Chris Wilcox look a young Shaq. Gm's also love calling us because we are a loophole they use to improve their franchises and get around the limitations of having bad cap space and bad contracts. This franchise is the league's MVP.

If I didn't know that this is the Wolves forum, I'd swear this is the Jazz forum. Look for guys like Foye and McCants to go crazy against us tonight. Let's hope for a good game tonight with no injuries. Hope the Jazz take it, but I won't be surprised if you guys win it.

If Roger Clemens can just pitch home games for the Yankees, why can't McHale only coach home games? Get Schiting, or whoever our bloody assistants are now to do the away games.

Do you think fans would be angry if he tele-commuted? It's 2008!

so is this the game thread?

I'm quite pumped for tonights game. I actually planed to skip it but after Wittman finally being fired I want to see the first game of that squad post-wittman.

I only hope there will be some celebration pie for tonights game. oh and they better play very well because it will be a very very short night again with probably about 2 hours of sleep...

That would be hilarious. During time outs you see the assistant coaches wheeling out a TV monitor with McHale's huge dome on it yelling angrily. In the background you could see water appearing to move up and down and empty cans of beer strewn carelessly all over the floor.

I watched some of the OKC/Miami game the other day, and it had a Westbrook highlight reel. I swear, every single play had a blue Wolves uniform in the background. It was amusing... and kind of embarrassing.

I like to think that this change means we won't be seeing anymore of Cardinal and more of Carney.
