JET flourishes in a system where he can create his own offense and handle the ball. Josh also seems to flourish (recently anyway) in an offense where he has the ball and creates his own shots. Put them both together and JET gets cold when Josh hogs the ball. Or the reverse, Josh gets disgruntled when JET dribbles forever. If Josh was content as a slasher, garbage points kinda guy, then it'd be perfect. But we know that's difficult for anyone to swallow.
I would rather have JET as the starter, but he seems fairly comfortable now coming off the bench. I don't think it's good to do too much maneuvering from starter-to-bench, and vice versa (which is precisely why this won't happen this season). I had him in as the starter in my post before realizing Barea's started more often. To me, they're interchangeable.
But I do think JET can thrive moving without the ball. He comes off screens and shoots pretty well, and he's solid in transition. I think the notion that he's only good with the ball in his hands is a creation of the Avery Johnson offensive scheme, not JET's inherent abilities.
