Was anyone else as stunned...

Post#1 » by MyInsatiableOne » Wed Dec 10, 2008 5:05 pm

...as me when they saw King 113, Lakers 101 this morning from last night's game...wow, wasn't expecting that one...and no, I'm not trying to stir anything up, just saying the Kings are CERTAINLY not a team I thought the Lakers would lose to...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I didn't expect the Lakers and Celtics to lose to the Pacers, too. It's the regular season, things happen. You don't play your best game every day.

Meh, things happen. It's tough to get up for every game. I didn't expect we'd get blown out in Indy the first time either. I'm sure we'll have a couple more stinker games this year too.

Nope......the pace to win as many as we have and the Laker's and the Cav's will be hard to keep up. The season is long. When you least expect it.....games like the upcoming one we have with the Wizards are the ones I worry about. 8-)

ps....I am surprised the GB didn't speak on it.... 8-)

I agree with everybody here, but it was no excuse to execute the way the Lakers did. The only good thing is we have a game tonight to wash out the bad taste of last night. Hey MIO you know I would never view you as one to stir it up...............everybody here assessment was pretty much point blank.

But as die hard fans maybe we're jaded to think our teams should win every game, that's just how you think when your good no crime in that. But like ParticleMan said some times it's just tough to get up for every game.................I just hate to lose it's just a me thing ! lololo

Yeah, if I had to choose a game we'd lose, it would definitely be tonight. Haven't played in 3 nights, and IIRC, this team wasn't too sharp after long breaks. Plus Washington always plays tough. Caron Butler still takes exception to Pierce's comments from a few years back (something along the lines of "He should thank me for making the All-star team. If I wasn't injured, he wouldn't have my spot").

Long season. Any team can beat any team on any night. Things happen. It's maintaining focus and not letting these types of games get you down. Every team will have a stinker and we're no exception. If they lose a few in a row to lesser teams, then I'd be more worried for them but excited for us. lol

I know both the C's and Lakers lost to the Pacers, but they are a better team than their record indicates. The Kings stink...still, everyone has an off-night.

I, too, don't know how the prolonged rest between Sunday and tomorrow's game will affect us...either good or we'll come out flat. I hope we come out rested and strong!

I was suprised but honestly Lakers were playing worse and worse defence lately, it was just bound to happen sooner or later. After lose to Pacers I was expecting wake up call for LA and improved play, but they proved me wrong and lost to one of the worst teams. If they dont wake up NOW, I'm not sure they'll be able to beat Celtics in upcoming match.
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

Lakers might go to coast mode and play for the best record in the Western Conference.. which should be easy as the West stinks nowadays.

This wouldn't be a bad idea for them...who cares about winning 70? Wrapping up HCA is more important, and that shouldn't be too much of a problem in the West since the Lakers and far superior to everyone else, even the Spurs...

Do we really need to have another Lakers' thread? Talk about obsessed. It is the regular season, who cares? Guess what? The Lakers are going to lose more games this year. Are we to start a thread after each one? There is no guarantee that the Cs will even face the Lakers other than the 2 regular season games. I wish fans approached the game like players.

I think the Kings were playing without Martin, which makes it especially surprising.

82-game season. Things happen.

We almost lost to the T-Wolves last season and they were bad as it gets.

I respect Deeps humility.

My first thought was - all good teams lose to bad teams throughout the season. My second thought was January 9th, 2008. My third thought was "a lot of Celtic fans are going to make a huge deal out of this" ;)

Not at all stunning they lost. Like everyone says, things happened.

What surprised me was how many points they gave up to an offensively inept Kings team. That's more of a concern to Lakers fans too I'm sure. Offensively things will simply go wrong some days, but defense is far more in your control.

Anyway, again, it's a LOOOONG season and it could easily be a fluke. It'll be telling to see how they bounce back against the Suns tonight.

Honestly I more surprised that the bad teams lose as much as they do more than I am the good teams win.
