Defense ... starts with players getting down the floor, then we can talk.

A healthy Miller is very possibly a win for the Woffies. McCants is simply killing us no matter how you slice it. He gets the opportunity to shine due to injuries and has flopped badly. I was waiting for him to finally hit a late 3, and then give that rebel scowl like he's a lethal weapon. NOT.

Nuggets fan. You guys are going to be a decent team. You just need to learn how to close out quarters. You had us early, maybe the back-to-back got to you in the second, maybe it was Melo. Either way in the first half you were pounding the ball inside and scoring in the paint at will on us and then in the second half you went completely away from it. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

A healthy Miller probably gets you a win tonight imo. Of course I am glad that didn't happen, but you guys have nothing to hang your heads about.

It's nice how we have been getting some cool fans to come by and drop encouraging words as of late. Thanks.

I'm glad I didn't see this. Carmelo is one of my least favorite players.

Quantum of Solace was a six for me. Too bad -- I REALLY liked Casino Royale. I like the Parkour (ooh - that reminds me .. my guilty pleasure "Chase" is on the DVR), but in all, a very forgettable movie. We were the only ones in the theater (Champlin), so it'll probably be out on DVD very quickly.

at least things are getting to how they were supposed to be when the season began - good on offense, wretched on defense

Right. Offensively Foye, Love, and Al did what I was hoping from them. McCants and Telfair are shooting like crap.

McCant's shouldn't play. Telfair shouldn't shoot.

at first against the Jazz I thought McHale just made a mistake when he had Telfair and Ollie on the court at the same time - like maybe he called for "Carney" and they thought he was calling for "Ollie" or something.

But holy ****, there they were again against the Nugz.

And what does Carney have to do, he drains a couple of nice threes against the Jazz, gets 2 blocks, 2 steals, but only had 13 minutes. And against the Nugz he had a real nice defensive sequence against Melo, but then he hibernates on the bench again.

Those are my biggest gripes so far w/ McHale. Telfair/Ollie backcourt, and too many minutes for Gomes and McCants and not enough for Carney.

I agree!!!!!!! Carney should be getting way more minutes. Carmelo would not have had the nice 3rd quarter if Carney gets more than 3 minutes in that game.

If my memory serves me correctly wasn't there a stretch where McCants was gaurding Melo when he was blowing up?

I am holding on to hope that Carney is just in waiting until McCants is gone. I still think with Corey out and when Miller gets back we should run with foye, carney, miller, smith or love, big al as the starters. Carney is one of best wing defenders at this point and can hit some threes and be athletic. However, with Mccants on the roster, we gotta show confidence in him so other teams will take him.

as far as melo is concerned, we have no answer for any big SF. miller and brewer our too slight and gomes is too slow.

He may be trying to boost McCants minutes for a trade, but if he keeps shooting like this, he's only reducing his trade value.

For the record, Foye was -14 for the game, and Telfair was +10 in limited minutes.

the +/- stat is flawed here because Bassy played mostly before Melo went bezerk on us while Foye did play then.

I hope what you're trying to say is that +/- isn't a good stat to determine one's playing time, or their affect on the court.

I was strictly correcting a incorrect stat that was reflected in an earlier comment.
