Yi has the 3rd most votes among forwards, meaning he just needs to get more votes. :D

Maybe the Nets are selling more TV games an jerseys in China.

Based on that, Yi deserves to be on the all-star team... he's a star.

A little off topic but Harris is 10th place for guards behind Luke Ridinour that is a joke.

Yeah this is why sometimes I seriously don't think fans should be voting for the all star team. I don't care what kind of argument one could make about another player, but Devin is THE BEST point guard in the Eastern Conference right now this season.

As much as I love Yi, he's not an all-star yet. I read that David Stern was kind of annoyed he has so many votes. Tell Stern to take a chill pill though. Granted this kind of contradicts my statemnt about fan voting, but having an Chinese player on both all-star teams is a good thing from a global marketing perspective.

The All Star team should be based on W and L and stats.

I mean when Vince was in Toronto, he led the AllStar voting every year, even one year where he was injured.

This garbage must change. No slight on Yi, but he has proved nil and no one in the NBA views him as even a starter who can contribute. Maybe a couple years from now he will be, but not now.

Yi has been a starter and solid contributer this year.
Its ok that you dont watch Nets' game and I understand where you coming from, but based on your criteria C.Bosh shudnt even be considered as Raptors is dead last in their division.

for those arguing that the voting system needs to be changed but you wont vote for YI you are not making sense. The whole point to vote for Yi is so they can change this damn voting system. I hope Luke makes the biggest jump to starting PG

The NBA all star voting is a joke.. Why is Devin Harris so far behind? and Yi should not be near the top of the eastern forward voting

It's not Yi fault fans like him and voted for him for the allstar game.. Everyone is bashing him about his game and trying to vote for him to be a starter in the allstar game so they can use him as an example..(everywhere I read from forum to some online meadia and even now even current NBA are crying foul...... cause they dont like the voting system want change of the allstar voting.. The allstar voting system has been like this for years and decade..and now cause Yi is 3rd in the eastern confrence on power forward everyone is crying foul... where have these people been all these years..? hellooo?

Some people try to say because of the chinese population in china that is why yao and Yi get alot of votes ..so far Yi got 356,556, 3rd among power forward.. Kevin garnett got 495,514 votes 2nd and Lebron Jame got 643,786 votes..

Dwight Howard got 775,933 votes 1st for eastern conference center..
Yao Ming got 529,290 votes lead western center..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alot of peole in china can't even afford a computer not to mention even an internet at home..

compare to the U.S almost everyone has a computer and internet at home.. why arent everyone in the u.s vote for ray allen or paul pierce..? or why dont canadian vote for chris bosh?

hmmmmm http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball ... ar_search/

oh Iby the way Im from long beach California and not oversea vote.. and here is who I voted for as a fan..who I wanted to see at allstar game..
I voted
1.Dwight Howard
2. Keven garnett and a few times chris bosh
3. Devin Harris
4. Vince arter
5. Yi

and sometime write in brook lopez as rookie.. :D

I have a beef with the ballot this year.

In year's past I do not remember all these players on the ballot just because they were starters for their team.
If you wanted to vote Yi in you would have to write him in, but now guys like him are on the ballot.

I still think Marbury even being on the ballot is a complete mockery of the game and shows what a joke the NBA has become in general.

Listen, I am a Nets fan and a Yi fan, but I think it is a joke if he gets voted onto the Allstar team.
I mean look at his averages, they are not Allstar #'s, it's just that simple and if Yi himself has any true love for the NBA game, he will probably feel weird even being on the team this year.
Especially if he keeps improving and becomes a true star in the future in a couple years, he will look back on it and say what a joke it was he made it his 2nd year.
The thing is, if he makes, it's not like it's his fault and yet ignorant people are going to hold it against him personally, which just puts more unfair pressure and crticism on him.

Oh well, it is what it is.
